LE CYGNE DES CENDRES 🦢🖤🔥
The Swan of the Ashes

Nine months. 165 pounds. A lifetime in the making.

I decided to be a ballerina for Halloween. Though somewhere between the silk, the smoke, and the ashes, it became something much more personal.

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of rebirth. How something can be completely consumed by fire and somehow emerge more beautiful than before. How sometimes the very things meant to destroy us become the very things that set us free.

And I think that’s where I am in life.

36 years old, 165 pounds, and finally beginning to recognize the man I’ve spent so much of my life trying to become.

And before we go any further, the world you see was created. The body you see was earned. No reshaping, no retouching of my physique. Nine months of work, discipline, and showing up for myself. The fantasy is in the scenery, not the transformation.

Not that I was ever an ugly fucking duckling. Please. I’ve been a swan, baby. Even when my wings were tired.

But there’s something beautiful about finally seeing yourself the way you’ve always imagined. About looking in the mirror and realizing that the life you’ve been waiting to live is already yours.

I wanted these photographs to feel like a dream caught somewhere between destruction and desire. A little darkness, a little decadence, a little fire.

And perhaps that’s the most beautiful part of it all.

I didn’t have to become someone else to find myself.

I simply had to make room for the person I was always meant to be.

So here’s to the ashes. To everything I’ve outgrown. To the versions of myself that carried me this far, even when they couldn’t come any further.

And to the swan who was never really lost.

He was simply waiting for his wings.

Happy Halloween, hoes. 🦢

Fashions fade, style is eternal. -Yves Saint Laurent

The difference between most people and myself is that my artistic eye translates into everything I do. My perspective is so Idiosyncratic I can’t help to be the moment. From my unique name, to my chaotic, amazing brain, to my endless talents, my personality, my morals, and even my looks. I’m embracing this era of being unapologetic and shaking up the room, if I make people uncomfortable with the quality of my being, oh well. by @houseofkhiry

I’ve been minding my business. Maybe a little too much.

I gave y’all A Study in Arrogance for the summer, went back in the studio and started working on what somehow became my seventh album.

Now I’m ready to fuck with y’all a little.

COUTURE is first.

Lead single. Visual on the way. And if this artwork has already convinced you that you know what kind of record this is… I love that for you.

You’ll find out Friday.

Oh, and in case anybody forgot who the fuck I am—

consider this the reminder.
