Group exhibition at Luftkastellet in Malmö with @engleson_gallerier. A big thank you to everyone who came out to Luftkastellet this weekend to support me and all of the other artists!
It warms my heart to meet you all, get to talk to you, and see your positive reactions to my paintings. I will also say I definitely got to hear a lot of gossip about football stars 😂 and I got some of the biggest compliments from you so I’m feeling over the moon! Until the next exhibition, love Mica 🫶☀️ Mica Stojanovic professional artist in Malmö Sweden taken in Luftkastellet Malmö by @houseofmica

I’m preparing for an exhibition at Luftkastellet in Malmö in two weeks, so I’m thinking I’ll either have a bunch of football players (which are not done) or a bunch of animal portraits (which are done) 👍🏼 taken in Malmö, Sweden by @houseofmica

I think I’m a sea creature, but not like in a ”I’m a mermaid 💅” kind of way. More like the ocean rejuvenates me. Just a quick dip instantly puts me in a good mood. I made a New Year’s resolution that I would go swimming in the sea at least once a month all year round. To clarify, that’s impressive because I live in Sweden so it’s cold most of the time.
Anyway, this is ”Sea creatures” my new oil painting. Or technically, it’s mixed media because I used charcoal and metal leaf in different colours. 🪩🤩
I actually think the pretty lady is the ocean, or some sort of goddess of the ocean who’s all knowing somehow, and treacherous cuz she’ll definitely make that gold ring slip off your finger and get lost forever, but also protective of divers and fisherman, and all those crazy surfers out there. What’s the name of the goddess of the sea, right now I can only think of Neptune? Did he have a wife? taken in Malmö, Sweden by @houseofmica
