“The Edwardians didn’t reserve their grandeur for the reception rooms. Their hallways were every bit as deserving of glamour, elegance and architectural detail.” 🤍✨ by @houseonthewell

I’ve always loved visiting the store Liberty and always thought they had the nicest ladies toilets in town! So wanted to create my own guest one at home! 💙 #liberty #thomascrapper Loo by @houseonthewell

Thought I’d show you my dresser in the kitchen! We bought it from an antique barn and then painted it in @farrowandball Old white.
There’s a mixture of old & new crockery on show which I love to mix & match. Some were finds and some were handed down from our mum’s ❤️ The artwork is @therealhackneydave @rorydobner @jakeanddinoschapman and my wonderful little cat clock was bought in @libertylondon ❤️✨More of the kitchen later! ✨#spode #liberty #antiques #chinesewillowpattern by @houseonthewell

She has found her favourite little corner upstairs — where the jazz is playing, the gramophone is waiting, and life feels just a little more 1920s. 🎶🐾 Play it again Pearl 🩶 by @houseonthewell

Our back garden was a labour of love ❤️
I never thought we’d get to the end although a garden IS always an ongoing project! 🌿
Fortunately it’s a garden we love to spend time in now 🙏🏻🌷✨ by @houseonthewell

A little bedroom makeover from my own home 🤎 I’ve always believed that a room should feel collected rather than simply decorated — a mix of old and new, textures, character and pieces that tell a story. I’m slowly creating a home that reflects my love of vintage, antiques and timeless interiors, while learning more about what makes a space feel truly special. This is just the beginning of sharing that journey — from my own home, to discovering beautiful vintage pieces and, hopefully, creating interiors for others along the way. ✨

Just a little peak into our other sitting room which we wanted to have an old Library/cinema feel about it 💙 Also for it to have a totally different atmosphere from the other sitting room - with the dark decadent walls which were painted in Hague Blue by @farrowandball, dark wooden oak flooring and we put a new fireplace in and wood burner.Mirror & coffee table by @oka , Sofa’s by @rockettstgeorge.co.uk and original art by @ninamaefowler & @realhackneydave The original Face magazine is a little nod to when I voiced the character of Lara Croft in TombRaider and the Elvis poster is when I performed in the west musical. Blondie is an Andy Warhol replica from the V&A museum as I was a huge fan back in the day and the Micheal Caine poster is my better halve’s as he is a big fan! David Bowie I picked up from the Affordable Art fair in Hampstead a few years back.A beautiful hand made vase on our shelf was a present and made by a dear talented friend of ours @catsantosceramics. Lots of antique finds can be seen from our travels ✨🤍 #vintagehomedecor #artwork by @houseonthewell

Here’s a little look at how we approached the process of turning our very dingy family bathroom into a beautiful Art Deco inspired steam & shower room. @racheldeaconart #antiques #londonbasincompany #grahamandgreen #artdecoglamour #firedearth ✨ by @houseonthewell

From the beginning to the end result! 🤍 The round copper bath was the very first thing we bought for the house but then it just sat in an empty room while we got on with other more important stuff! Most of the art on the walls is my dear friend @ninamaefowler but there is also a print by the actor Jude Law’s sister, Natasha Law.The wall plate above the toilet is by @fornasetti and then some beautiful old antique framed photo’s.The paint on the walls is @farrowandball Wimborne white and the floor is @firedearthuk marble. The toilet and bath are by @catchpoleandrye and the old display cabinet is original 1950’s @dandabbinder_ We got to bathroom bliss in the end 🤍 #myandrewmartin by @houseonthewell

Hello and welcome 🤎 I thought I’d start by introducing myself and sharing a little bit about what you’ll find here. I’m Jonell, a voiceover artist who has been working in the industry for over 30 years.Alongside my love of words & storytelling,I’ve always had a real passion for houses, interiors and the things that give a home it’s character.I’ve been renovating my home and,as you can probably imagine I’m happiest when I’m hunting down a beautiful antique, discovering a vintage treasure or finding something completely unexpected that I can’t resist bringing home! I love old houses, timeless design, mixing old with new and giving beautiful, well loved pieces a new lease of life.I’m also a huge lover of travel - exploring new places, discovering their architecture, interiors, markets and,of course the treasures you find along the way. So this little corner of instagram will be a mixture of my renovation journey, interior inspiration, vintage and antique finds, travel and all the things that catch my eye! Expect plenty of character,a few renovation dramas and lots of treasure hunting.
Thank you for being here - I’m so glad you found me 🤍 by @houseonthewell
