Day 31: Re-wear your favorite outfit from the challenge - After looking back through the 30 looks of the month my favorite is day 13! This prompt should help you see what you are drawn to within your style! If you picked a certain look out of 30, why is it your favorite? What details were you excited to wear again? In this outfit I love this silhouette the color combination, the contrast between the voluminous dress and the chunky shoes. It just bring me so much joy to wear!

Day 30: Style the piece that surprised you the most this month - This denim dress was a real surprise this month because it went from something I felt annoyed wearing to something I can’t wait to keep styling! I knew cutting the sleeves off would make it more comfortable, but the fact that I’m excited to keep learning new ways to style it is a great bonus! It’s also opened my eyes to maybe allowing some more sleeveless options into my wardrobe in the future! What’s a piece that surprised you during this month? #hssjulychallenge

Day 29: Wear a piece you’ve owned for 3+ years in a new way - This is great prompt for when you want to give your well-loved pieces new life! Sometimes we just get in a rhythm with how we style certain pieces and this prompt helps break out of that! When was the last time you tried to create a new outfit with a well-loved piece? Or do you have go-to outfits that you stick to! This outfit felt new, but with well-worn pieces as the base. It’s just another reminder how many combinations can be created with one wardrobe! #hssjulychallenge

Day 28: Wear an outfit you would have loved as a kid - I love this type of challenge because I think what we enjoyed as a kid can really help inform what we might enjoy as an adult. For me, I love these overalls and I only started wearing them again in my mid-twenties because I could never find them! Now I have many pairs and I love wearing them! Other things that I’ve brought back into my life from childhood are sewing for fun, pottery, and journaling! Day 26: Change one thing about an outfit you already wore this month - I like this prompt as part of the challenge because it’s how I experiment with new things in my wardrobe. I will take an outfit that I love and change one thing about it to make it feel just a little bit different and then maybe change one more thing and so on until I’ve created an entirely new outfit! I think it makes trying style pieces in new ways feel less daunting. Were you able to create a completely new outfit just by changing one thing? #hssjulychallenge

Day 25: Dress up to run errands or do chores - I’m testing a theory about how clothes affect your mood! Does dressing up make the less enjoyable tasks more enjoyable? My hypothesis says yes! Day 24: Dress for the perfect summer day - This is a fun one because it really digs into wearing pieces that fit into your lifestyle! My perfect summer day is walking around an outdoor market or food festival or farmer’s market so I need to make sure I’m protected from the sun, wearing something that’s breathable with shoes I can walk a lot in. Thinking about functionality first is a really important part of personal style so you actually wear the clothes that you buy!
