On all streaming platforms now, The Devil 魔鬼 is the first track from Howie Lee’s forthcoming 7-track EP Sun, Dew, Gold Arise (Part 1) available 25.11.26 digitally and as a limited edition cassette (via Bandcamp). Sun, Dew, Gold Arise (Part 1) features seven AI-rendered voices from Howie using his own voice as a driving force, continuously dismantling, translating, and reconstructing it until it drifts away from the notion of self-expression. Although the work employs extensive generative audio technologies, its core is built upon long cycles of repetition and manual editing -motifs repeatedly deconstructed, spliced, and reassembled, algorithmic fragments meticulously polished taken in Beijing, China by @howielee_official
