Life updates ~ I’m an auntie. Finn and I will be moving up to the Columbia River Gorge (as the first step). Birthday roadtrip across the southwest last week was so uplifting for my spirit. So good to see friends. @alexx_goose @tucsontannery @pam.millo

There’s no way I can really articulate all this time at my dad’s. There were so many toxic moments where I wanted to pack up and leave immediately. And yet, staying longer is what gave me the ears to hear what my spirit craves and make a plan to follow through on it. Rivers and fish and green expanse. If you know anyone or of opportunities in the gorge area send me a msg!

First photo is what the internet brought to my attention that sad curious afternoon in June. I couldn’t resist that lil soggy scruffy face. For those of you who know me, you can imagine how much I love this dog.

While life lately is mostly doing the dishes, cooking and cleaning, paperwork, bills and appointments (still caregiving for my dad), I celebrate these larger & shorter moments, these getaways, these plants, these places and THIS PUP. What I have planted in a barren gravel yard is blooming for the first time. The yarrow, sage and passion fruit. I adopted a 6 month old scruffy guy in an unexpected 24 hour flood of desire for a dog that came over me very strongly. Finn was trying to find me!

The last few weeks have been blowing some life into my suburban-soggy soul!

One year since I’ve been back from Ireland & Europe.

Two years & some lifetimes ago, I moved out of my off grid desert cob house community life.

This life is a wild horse.

Beholding the beauty and the ugly on this planet at this time is seriously for warriors and lovers.

I cry when I think about everything this year was. It stripped me down. I trust it. But what the fuck man. So much sudden change is a wise trickster elder who asks over and over “what is essential?” What is essential now? And now? And…now?
It’s been training. I rode the dragon. I said yes to the fire. It took away 70% of my hair. I will regenerate. I feel pretty damn sober. There are books worth of stories in this year alone. All the human kindness that’s been poured into me since I became a vagabond in Ireland overnight, I have now been tasked to give back and pour into my father. Day in and day out. Crisis, shock, chaos, beauty, gratitude, boiling rage, ugly realities, presence….all of it and still, renewal is ready just a breath away. Grace is a wild beast of otherworldly strength.
