"Safe Space" - what I once dismissed as new-age nonsense, is now something I'm starting to understand and value. As I continue to find spaces that allow me to thrive, I’ve also learned that real safety starts from feeling safe with myself.

Having the freedom to express freely and live light has become so important to me, and TeamHeart has been a central pillar in that shift.

Thank you leaders @jello_jordan @azizluminiq @aldrinanthony_ You took on a huge responsibility this time round. The journey was tough, but your belief never wavered. Continue to keep your heads up, eyes to the stars, and spirits humble as you grow into greater men.

To everyone else on the team... your resident Uncle is inspired by your drive and desire. Your energy turned "my body is weak, but my will is strong" into "𝖒𝖞 𝖇𝖔𝖉𝖞 𝖎𝖘 𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖌, 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖒𝖞 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖎𝖘 𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗"

“And yet, always, we begin again"

Thank you @tanyihng for the powerful words from RIAU. it stayed with me and inspired me into action.

Stepped into the driver's seat again for SAICO SJSC 2026, and experimented with creating without letting ego, fear, and anxiety take the wheel. Probably overcorrected, but that allowed some things to shift.

Uncertainty turned into trust.
Stress was replaced by fun and support.
Fear gave way to confidence.

It was a genuinely good time. Truly, it’s only when we choose to try that we earn the chance to experience real joy (credits Kei Tsukishima).

I'm glad that I took this chance, and as I continue this season of rediscovering and reinventing myself, I'll learn to embrace the mess that comes with growth.

To SAICO, my heart goes out to you. Thank you for trusting me with this, and for holding the space with me through it all. I'm proud of how we have grown together as a team, and perhaps the next thing we should grow is our resistance to dirty food (cc 8pax food poisoning 🤮). Always happy to create with all of you, and I’ll keep doing it for as long as I still dance.

made good on the promise to myself to dance more, while I still can

but more than dance, it was finding the courage to experience more of what life has to offer

and through these experiences, reimagining who I am and who I can be, beyond the fear, uncertainty, and the boundaries that I have defined myself by over the past decade in dance

@teamheartsg thank you for making me feel young again, and for the many laughs we've had in our time spent tgt. you gave this 'uncle' the permission to be a boy again, and I'll always be grateful to you all for helping me find the love and confidence to be on stage 🫰🏼

to directors @jello_jordan @azizluminiq @aldrinanthony_ , thank you for pulling us through a wild year. the 3 of you have shown me that leadership can come in many shapes and forms. many of the things you do, I have observed, and I will try to bring it in to my own journey. thank you for inspiring, and for giving me the hope that I can find peace and joy in my own role as a team director 🫡

@thomasedisontt7 @messilaaa @n4lydkkk thanks for asking me again and giving me a second chance to be part of the very huat 7P journey HAHA. it was a refreshing time, being in a new space with new friends. never would've trusted myself enough to join a comp with 2 weeks prep time, so that thank you for giving me this opportunity to prove myself otherwise 🧧

@saicopaths SAICO SAICO SAICO SAICO SAICO. I guess we back 🤪 not many words except that I have missed dancing and creating with you all, and that I'll work hard to bring the lessons I've learnt this year into our space. looking forward to some chaos with serenity, structure with freedom, and thiago with swimming pool. DANANG HERE WE COME ⚡

last but not least, thank you to wife @joannyjx for supporting me in this eternal endeavour to grow past my own limiting beliefs. the process is not easy, and I'm thankful for your understanding and love. thank you for choosing to be in this journey with me every day, as I unlearn all the bad habits that has kept me 'comfortable', and learn new ones that are healthier for myself, and for us ♥️ by @howyusiang
