An impromptu decision to make it over to @malvernfleamarket for August Bank Holiday Monday.
So many stalls to look at but as regular-ish goers we know which sellers to beeline for.
Maybe it’s the influence of @vintagevegasshop but there seems to be a resurgence of vintage and antique buyers. Honestly it’s such a good vibe and some absolute bargains. I have coming here for decades! Next one is in September… anyone fancy a mooch around???
A special thanks to the kind soul @jrs_vintagevinyl that took pity on my husband and his famous last words “we don’t need to take much cash” 🤣

So I bought a few souvenirs from our family holiday in Spain…
Can you tell I just love food???
Yes. That’s right I brought home the oil spray. Really impressed by it. I know, I’m easily pleased! 😁

Kept the holiday wardrobe minimal… and still didn’t wear everything I brought with me! Just too hot to be bothered to even get changed some days.
Still trying to keep rewearing old outfits.
New accessories to jazz things up.
Loved the time to lose myself in reading even did a re-read of one of my faves.

Probably our most anticipated holiday… first time in a villa.
Think my body has been endured so much stress over the past few months, took me a few days to actually switch off but the months of stress definitely took it’s toll with my first ever episode of Swimmers’ Ear PLUS sore throat, mild fever and serious breakout of acne.
Still we made plenty of memories…
🐟 swimming amongst the fishes
🥘 Spanish cuisine sampled & loved
🚘 hire car survived
🍦 gelato devoured by the tub
🐴 befriended the horses
🦎 befriended the villa’s lizard
🍻 great local beers

Notes to self:
1) don’t work up until the last hour before leaving the house
2) don’t forget teabags EVER again
3) don’t STRESS

Lovely stroll down the Prom @cheltenhamantiquesmarket
Picked up some retro casette tapes and glass linen.
@bethanemily_ introduced me to Cheltenham’s @anthropologieeu and lured me into @oliverbonas
This is dangerous. I should have known better.
Of course I came away with something!
A mooch around Spa then home to my own Spa hometown to host kids friends’ Saturday hangout.
Surely this is how weekends ought to be.

Coding changes more than you think.

Heart failure coding doesn’t sound like the most exciting topic. But after recording this conversation with Helen Killminster, I was reminded just how much accurate coding shapes the care our patients receive.

It’s about far more than data collection. It influences who gets diagnosed, which services are funded, how resources are allocated, and ultimately whether patients get the support they need.

In this episode of Beatwise, we discuss why this deserves far more attention than it gets.

1️⃣ HFpEF is still being missed: Around half of people living with heart failure have HFpEF, yet many remain unrecognised. We explore why diagnosis is challenging and what can be done to improve identification in everyday practice.

2️⃣ Coding drives services: Accurate coding affects disease prevalence data, funding, workforce planning, and access to specialist heart failure services. It’s far more than an administrative exercise.

3️⃣ Primary and secondary care both have a role: From clearer discharge summaries to regular audits and careful review of echocardiograms and NT-proBNP results, we discuss practical ways to improve communication and identify patients earlier.

4️⃣ Prevention starts before heart failure develops: Could concepts such as “pre-heart failure” coding help identify high-risk patients sooner and support a more proactive, community-based approach to care?

What began as ’Let's walk to Hawford & back’… ended up with ’Let me show you Bevere Fish Pass’… then… ’We could get to Northwick and have breakfast @kynd.folk’
Almost 9 miles walked from home this morning.
Caught the 144 bus back - my first ever trip on this notorious, legendary local route.
I wonder when the Worcester Severn river path will be open again… Such a shame still closed off at Northwick.
Love walking our Shire.
Will do the loop one day!
