GRADE SCHOOL GIRLS - TRYOUT TIMES AND REGISTRATION NOW LIVE! 🫶🏻

While tryout registration has been live on the website for about a week, we have been holding off on posting the while we were still sanctioning our Edwardsville tryouts!

First year in two IL locations.. (and maybe a 3rd coming soon 😏🔜). We want to see YOU there!

CALLING ALL OUR GRADE SCHOOL GIRLIES.. IT’S YOUR TIME!! 🔜💓

We appreciate your patience as we have been working hard to release these open gyms! As you will see in the flyer, we had a lot of locations to secure gym time at and figure out opening dates (hint hint-Edwardsville!)

While we are still wrapping up fall ball, we really hope that you will come join us this October! Open Gyms serve as a valuable tool for athletes to showcase their abilities in structured game-like and skill/positional focused drills & prepares them for the upcoming tryout process! We have such an amazingly positive and knowledgeable coaching staff that is ready to work with your daughter!

A couple notes..

🔹This is our FIRST YEAR having Grade School Girls teams in TWO locations! We are so excited to kick off our Edwardsville program, in addition to our already amazing Belleville program.
🔸The 618 Courthouse Facility (Edwardsville) won’t be complete until tryout week! That being said, the 19th (the day we are there for open gyms) is there VERY FIRST day open! We are so excited to be there on opening day! That being said, we are asking our Edwardsville girlies (even if they are only interested in the EDW location) to join us for our first two open gyms in Belleville (12th and 14th), if available/able. The more we can get to know your girls, the better!
🔹If EDW is where you are wanting to play - that is great with us! We are hoping to form some really competitive teams up north! There was some confusion when we originally posted the location that the teams would only be rec-like. We plan for these teams to be as competitive as possible! Along with this, if we can make multiple teams per age group, we will!
🔹New this year… HP IL PACK THE GYM NIGHTS! Join us October 20th in 1 of 2 locations as HP IL coaches and directors battle it out! Come support Mater Dei, O’Fallon, Edwardsville, and Belleville East, and stay after for a REDUCED PRICE open gym!

Day Three in our WHY HP IL series.. the thing we believe sets us apart the MOST!

Here at HP IL we firmly believe that we have the BEST coaching staff around. So much experience, joy, passion, pride, and love of the game. Check out some of these coaching facts!

🔹16 of our 26-27 teams are slated to be coached by a high school coaching staff member!
🔹5+ of our coaches have 25+ years of experience! Experts! (Stacey Posey, Charles Rodman, John Burris, Jami Parker, Bob Vollmer, etc.!)
🔹Countless grade school head coaches, current college players, college alumni, and more that know what it takes to get to the next level.
🔹3 program directors (Abby Hanger, Addie Burris, and Natalie Best) and 2 designated positional coaches/coach educators (Charles Rodman and Jami Parker).

Honestly, our amazing coaches speak for themselves in the gym. Constant feedback, positivity, respect, encouragement, and pushing our athletes to be the best they can be. We are officially less than ONE WEEK away from our 2026 GRADE SCHOOL GIRLS TRYOUTS!!! Leading up to next Friday we will be sharing one thing a day that sets HP IL apart from the rest..

Next up.. our mental performance services!

As mentioned yesterday, we believe the HP athlete is comprised of 3 important parts (all the volleyball skills, the physical strength/health, and the mental strength/health). We find it very important (like over 33.3% important) to train the mental side of the game!

So.. what does this look like?

🔹One of our HP IL directors specifically specializes in counseling, mental health, and sports psychology! While she does not “counsel” our athletes, she provides guidance and extensive activities to our coaches to preform with our athletes! This includes an age specific mental performance binder. This year each team will complete one activity together per week that focuses on the mental aspect of the game!
🔹HP is happy to partner with @connectwithgt , our mental performance expert! Greg is in the gym often providing group sessions, lessons, and aiding our coaches!
🔹HP IL picks one “theme” each season that is solely focused on the mental aspect of the game. Last year’s motto was the “CHAIN”, which focused on building communication, hard work, attitude, inspiration, and being non-collapsing! This season we are so excited to introduce our club wide “brick by brick” motto!

Here at HP IL we are SOOOO BLESSED to have an amazing partnership with TAP. Not only do they support our athletes, but they are truly like family to us and our girls! Never heard of TAP and their services?? Check it out!

“Here at TAP, we specialize in improving functional movements used in sports and everyday life. Our programs include injury prevention, plyometrics using a Vertimax, and strength training. Through these methods, athletes should see improvement in quickness, speed, footwork, jumping, and overall athletic explosiveness. For basketball and volleyball players, we go in-depth with approach jumps and jumping out-of-movement efficiently.”

Now.. the best part.. TAP and their amazing services are INCLUDED at no extra cost (we cover this cost as a club) for ALLLL our high school girls athletes, as well as all our 13-14U select teams! Not only just a couple of sessions.. but UNLIMITED SESSIONS!! (Our girlies loveeeee when there parents make them go every day 🤣🫶🏻). Not one of those teams?? No worries! You can add TAP and their UNLIMITED session bundle for a very minimal price addition!

While the volleyball skills are important, the physical and mental part of the game is, too. TAP is always coming in clutch for the physical portion.

Next up, AVA LAMPE!! Ava recently surpassed 1,000 high school career digs at Mater Dei! One thousand digs means a whole lot of hustle, heart, and keeping her team in the rally. We love seeing her hard work pay off!

Our next standout HS performer… Abbi Pruitt!!

Abbi (senior at Herculaneum High School) is bringing it home her senior season! Abbi has recently surpassed both 500 KILLS and DIGS. She is a stud 6 rotation player for her team, as well as was just nominated Max Preps PLAYER OF THE YEAR! Let’s go Abbi! 💙🧡 by @hpilvbc

Next up in our HS Girls Season Spotlight.. EMERSON ISRINGHAUSEN!!!

Emerson is CRUSHING it in her senior season at Father McGivney! Not only has she surpassed 500+ digs, but she has gotten all 546 so far in just THIS SEASON.. including a match high 39 digs.. in only a TWO SET match! Emerson - you are crushing it! We couldn’t be more proud of you!! 🫶🏻💙🧡 by @hpilvbc

What better day than National Coaches Day..

We’ve said it before and we will say it again.. we are blessed with the BEST. Countless dedicated, passionate, talented, and selfless adults who decide to give their time to serve our amazing athletes. A thank you nor a special dedication day doesn’t begin to describe how amazing these individuals are and how thankful we are for them. These collages don’t even capture a glimpse of the amount of amazing individuals we have on staff here in Illinois.. just would have had to make 500 collages to capture all ;)

If you’re wondering what sets HP IL apart as we head into tryout season, this is it. These amazing humans. Let’s give them a shoutout below!
