Looking at the positives after that gut punching collapse yesterday. Fun family time in Philly. Love watching our girls fall in love with the game and the @philadelphiaeagles as much as us. 💚🦅 #flyeaglesfly #gobirds #nfl @philadelphiaeagles @prapz78 taken in Lincoln Financial Philadelphia Eagles Stadium by @hsancheztv

An exciting night! My daughter met her favorite author @lynnpainterbooks as she releases her latest YA novel "Trust Fall". Bonus, it's set in NYC and the main character lives in our neighborhood! Seeing Avery's eyes light up was priceless, especially when she got to speak with Lynn and share a heartfelt letter she wrote to her. I love that Avery has a passion for reading and am grateful to Lynn Painter for being part of her inspiration and for being so gracious with all her fans. #lynnpainter #newbook #trustfall #yanovels @strandbookstore taken in Strand Book Store by @hsancheztv

Bummed to report... after 47 years of service, @pix11news Engineer Scott Magliola is retiring. He's one of the first people I see every morning at PIX. He puts on my mic and ear piece... and every day he greets me with a smile. Always patient, always kind, always professional. The world needs more people like Scott. I'm really going to miss him. 😢 Now go get some well deserved sleep Scott! Enjoy your retirement! Love you!!! #retirement #goodpeople by @hsancheztv

@littleshopnyc is making history!!! It's now the longest-running production of the show in the musical's history! We had so much fun celebrating the milestone at Westside Theatre - with current, former and future cast members! Little Shop's legendary composer @alanmenken was in the house too! Congrats @littleshopnyc! Wishing all an Audrey II appetite for many more shows ahead! #littleshopofhorrors #offbroadway #musicaltheater #makinghistory #breakingrecords taken in Little Shop of Horrors (Westside Theatre) by @hsancheztv

Avery had been begging me to see @paranormalbroadway... we went and now I am waiting for my nightmares to kick in. It is literally scream out loud entertaining! Avery loves this stuff... but it's not for the faint of heart. It makes you wonder... maybe houses aren't haunted...maybe people are. 🤔 #paranormalactivity #imabeliever #broadway #broadwayplay #broadway2026 taken in August Wilson Theatre by @hsancheztv

There's something very fulfilling about supporting friends whose work overflows with purpose. And to be able to share it with my 13 year old daughter, made tonight that much more special. Avery said "School Girls; or the African Mean Girls Play" was "life changing". Let ME say playwright @jjbioh is a genius with her words in her latest work @schoolgirlsbroadway. And the way director @yesimwhitneywhite guided her vision, hit my every nerve. THIS CAST!!!! Wow... .they could not have been more perfectly selected. They had us laughing, crying, and leaving the theater with a desire to change the societal hierarchy that sadly didn't disappear when the class bully graduated from high school. This play and its purpose, will stay with me. BTW...wondering why this Whitney Houston song choice? Go see this show! #broadway #broadwayplay #broadwaydebut #mustsee taken in Samuel J. I joined PIX11 News with Hazel Sanchez and Alexa Lutter to talk about the return of Carnegie Deli to New York.

We talked about where Carnegie Deli came from, why the family brought it back, the tradition that has carried through generations, what its return means to the surrounding community, and the food that made the deli a New York institution.

Always a great experience getting to tell these New York stories on television.

A thrilling night at the American Theater Wing Fall Gala, celebrating the unsung heroes of the theater industry. Loved spending time with friends, old and new... blown away by incredible performances from some of Broadway's Best! A wonderful event benefiting Theater Wing programs that provide traditionally underrepresented artists with resources to begin or continue their artistic careers.
