September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Yesterday, September 10th, was World Suicide Prevention Day.

Use this post as a reminder to check in on the people you care about. You never know what someone could be going through.

If you are struggling and need support, or are looking for resources and ways to support others who are struggling, please contact 988.
The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 across the United States. You can call or text at 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org. Teletypewriter users can use their preferred relay service or dial 711 then 988.

Dear Disabled Caucus Members,

We are so thrilled to announce that we are endorsing Rep. Josh Turek for the United States Senate election in Iowa.

Josh Turek (@joshturek4iowa ) is both a current disability rights advocate and a disabled man himself. He has a history of advocating for many things including but not limited to:

•underprivileged individuals and families with complex health needs
•working directly with marginalized communities
•access to healthcare for rural Iowans
•calling for accountability in the government protections amongst fellow policymakers
•attacking loopholes in minimum wage requirements that discriminate based upon physical and mental disabilities
•based his campaign on advocating for marginalized young people in the disabled community
