Months of hard work behind you and you’re standing on the start line, realising this is the moment you’ve been working for.

The most surreal feeling and one I can’t wait to feel again.

Hard launch I guess 🫢

If there’s one thing this year has taught me, it’s that you really are capable of more than you think.

Last November, I’d never run further than 10km. Fast forward to now and I’ve raced three half marathons, a marathon and an Ironman 70.3.

It’s been the biggest itch I’ve wanted to scratch for a while. The commitment, the training, the discipline, the time - it’s a huge challenge, and I want to prove to myself that I can take it on whilst still having a social life, doing shift work and, most importantly, enjoying life along the way.

And there was only ever going to be one course for me… LEEDS 💙💛

I’m a Yorkshire girl, I went to uni in Leeds, and some of my favourite memories are from there. So there’s something pretty special about the idea of becoming an Ironman on home soil.

46 weeks. 3.8km swim. 180km bike. 42.2km run

Let’s make myself an Ironman 🤭✨

What an incredible weekend with the best support crew 🥹✨

Literally had the BEST time ever and the atmosphere was truly something else 🤩

Swim: 47:23
Bike: 3:37 (plus an aid station crash lol)
Run: 1:53

It’s safe to say the swim needs work, however, I am so proud that I got it done considering it was my first ever open water swim!

My favourite sign I saw - “be stronger than your excuses”

Now we rest a bit (get some swimming lessons) and decide what’s next 👀
