Today on #NationalRescueDogDay, our Animal Cruelty Task Force rescued 50+ dogs from a property in Washington County, Missouri.

Every time these cases happen it reminds us of how vital their work is and how grateful we are to have the support of our community.

Tonight, more than 50 dogs are safe because people like you choose to support this mission ❤️ by @hsmopets

Happy #FieldTripFriday from Zeus! 🤎

This handsome guy spent the day exploring @zoomiescafestl (where he happily enjoyed a pup cup, of course! 🐾) and Home Depot where he got to sniff around and take in all the sights. It was the perfect day for this curious, adventurous pup!

Zeus loves being outside, enjoys a good game of fetch, and walks nicely on a leash. Once the adventure is over, he's just as happy to curl up for some quality cuddle time.

Zeus found himself at the shelter while he was still just a puppy, and he didn't have the opportunity to learn all the basics in his first home.

He's still working on things like crate training and house manners, so he'll do best with an experienced adopter who's ready to help him continue learning. Zeus has so much potential and is ready for someone who sees it, too. 💞

Breaking news: Caiden has discovered the best invention ever... blankets. 💕

This #FosterFriday we're shining a spotlight on our longest resident, Caiden. This sweet 6-year-old Pittie mix has been waiting for his forever family for 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ days. 🥺

Caiden recently headed off to a wonderful foster family to get a break from shelter life, and he has shown us that he is more than ready for a forever home!

Caiden has truly started to relax and show his personality. His foster mom says he follows the energy of the home—if the kids are playing, he’s right there joining in. If everyone is relaxing, he’s happily curled up nearby (preferably wrapped in a cozy blanket!). 🥹

Now, Caiden just needs one more thing: a forever family to call his own. Could that be you? 💚

Today is #Purrsday and we couldn't resist sharing these adorable 12-week-old sisters who are ready for adoption!

Meet Olivia! 🤎🐾 This loving girl came to us as an owner surrender when her family could no longer provide care. They described her as “goofy and awkward but means well.” 🤣 Just look at how she rode in the car and let us know if you agree 🚗 🤭

Olivia and I enjoyed this beautiful day at @towergrovepark before picking out a cookie 🍪 and a new bone 🦴 from @tutailwags where she became instant besties with the staff 💁‍♀️✨

About Miss Olivia: 🤎 5 years young 👧 Has lived with kids. She really loves people and shows her love with big, sloppy kisses.  🐶 Has lived with another dog! Her previous family said she loved playing and sleeping with her doggie friend (of course every dog is different, so slow and proper introductions are always recommended!) 🐕 🛋️ After a long walk, her favorite place is right on the couch 💤 🌳 Does an amazing job going potty outside 🐿️ Fully believes squirrels were put on this Earth for her to chase... and she won’t hear otherwise 😂 💪 Would do best with a strong handler because girlfriend can *tug* on the leash. If she spots a squirrel... hang on for dear life! 😮

Meet Rex! He's a 5-year-old longhaired Dachshund who's ready to find his forever family! This sweet little guy loves attention and is happiest when he's spending time with his people.

If you can't tell from Max's amazing smile, we're definitely enjoying the cooler weather this morning!! ☀️

This handsome 2-year-old American Bulldog was all smiles during his morning stroll

Max is the best of both world: he loves tossing around his favorite toys, but when playtime is over, he's more than happy to lean in for cuddles and soak up all the love.

He's ready to trade shelter life for a forever home where he can spend his days playing, snuggling, and making his people smile just as much as they make him smile.

Gigi’s field trip itinerary: fresh air, new smells, and (of course) cookies. 🐾🍪

Before heading home with her new family, Gigi got to enjoy a fun-filled day out with one of our amazing volunteers!

Gigi explored @ForestParkForever, took in all the sights and smells, and made the very important stop at @tutailwags for a well-earned snack. 🩷🍦

We're so happy this sweet, energetic girl found her perfect match, and we're incredibly grateful to the volunteers who help make days like this possible for our shelter pets.

Kiwi's first pool day was a little more "toe dip" than "splash zone"... 💦🐾
But hey, we're proud of her for trying!

Today is #TongueOutTuesday and we couldn't celebrate without Kiwi!!

Kiwi is a 6-month-old Lab/Pit mix who has been growing up at our shelter since arriving back in April, and we'd love to see her spend the rest of her puppyhood in a home of her own.

This smart, energetic girl would thrive with an active family who can keep her body and brain busy with daily exercise, adventures, and puzzle toys. 🧩
