I met Nick about a year ago, he was looking for someone to talk to about discovering the Buddhist path. It was changing his life and how he viewed everything, especially his own mind. As of now, Nick quit his job in corporate finance and is staying at a monastery in hopes of ordaining as a monk. This is a snippet of a photo-based video of his journey. 📷Featuring Htet Gyaw’s (@htetster) photographs.  “I’m drawn to light and to human behavior, so this kind of photography came very naturally to me. I started really enjoying the process back in 2009 when I was traveling the streets of Thailand. I brought my love of photography back to New York, which is considered by many to be the mecca of street photography in the world.   I like to expand what I shoot beyond genres. I went to school for filmmaking and I like to see through the eyes of a cinematographer of sorts. I will take photos of faces, crowds, buildings, interiors, still objects, and I don’t differentiate because in a movie a cinematographer shoots all those things without discriminating them into various genres. This type of thinking gives me freedom to never feel limited wherever I go. I could be in a crowded street or a hospital waiting room, I can find something to shoot.” by @htetster
