🚀 Milestone Reached- Breaking 6 Figures a Month🚀

When I got my loan originator license back in 2021, I remember thinking I’m going to be one of those LOs that makes 6 figures a month..and this August, for the first time in my career, I hit my commission of $100,000+ month with 8 families in their new home.

I started with refis during the golden era of historically low rates. Started making low 5 figures a month with no real skills, thinking I was a sales genius. I was satisfied with what I made as a 23 year old and didn’t feel the need to advance my expertise.

When rates hiked and business slow, with not a closed deal in sight for 2-3 months at times, I quickly realized I was lacking a lot of foundational skills and knowledge to be a competent loan officer.

So, I dove into learning, attending every seminar , mastermind and webinars— mastering all loan products. I decided I’d lean more on the purchase business with focus on Non-QMs —I liked the idea of helping clients that are not able to secure traditional financing and most banks/loan officers won’t touch non-QMs. I took the down-time to build a relationship with everyone I was in business with from investors’ Account Executives, realtors, clients to title/insurance agents. I shifted my perspective from how many deals can I close this month to how can I provide value to my clients, how many families can I help a month, and how can I be a better partner to my realtor partners.

After a year of hosting homebuyers seminars, speaking at different real estate brokerages, going to brokers open, and endless Zooms with my realtor partners to collaborate on strategizing to help them expand in their market..Today, my business is 100% word-of-mouth referrals with 80% purchase business.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey but finally finding my place in this industry has been incredibly rewarding.

She’s a homeowner🏡💅🏽

It’s been 4 weeks since I moved in and still feels SOOOO surreal this is mine. Always dreamt of having a home on the water with a space for me to garden😩

Buying this home 2 months after I turned 27 made it so much more special. Thank you thank you, universe 🙏🏽💘
