POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Happy Sunday! Here is a commission for @aladoren that I had an absolute blast with. It's a Titicaca lake frog with Totora reed flowers, and I am so happy with how it turned out. Thanks to this commissioner and everyone else supporting me, I was able to support myself through another month of university!
Best wishes to all my followers, looking forward to another productive week:)

Toller with duck wings!
The second in a tentative series of canines, which I'm actually pretty excited for, though I'm not much of a dog person myself. I think I'm a dragon person, if I had to pick. Unfortunately, that would be hard to do a photorealism drawing of.

Gougar
So trying something a little different, still experimenting ofc, but i did a story poll and it seems the majority of my followers prefer felines to canines. Last week you got a wolf, this week you get a cougar perching in a tree. Honestly I'm just pleased that i was able to do anything at all for this week, as I'm currently dealing with a seemingly kind of serious injury of my dominant hand! But despite that I feel very happy with this piece, something about it feels exciting to me . Many people asked me to branch out and draw more different types of animals, and I am enjoying trying that out. I hope people enjoy this googer. Umm if you read this far you should write googer in the comments , or gougar , whatever u like . Luv u

Happy Friday!

Writing this on the Thursday before posting this as I sit at the first table I've done for my work. It went well, and I ended up meeting lots of new people and learning a lot about how tabling works. I hope to do more tables in the future at local markets ! Next time I want to be better prepared though. I made eight prints total of my last two posts. That was also a learning curve, since i've never done anything like that before but i was able to pick out specific paper, i chose a rough-textured paper for the rustic vibes and i'm really happy with it! i want to learn to use the computer lab to make smaller prints on my own for future markets.
if you've read this far, i'd really appreciate if you'd comment SHINE to show support! it makes a big difference 🩷🩷

Moments of clarity happen every day. In these moments, it is always an option to look away. Sometimes it makes the most sense to carry on as usual and pretend nothing ever happened. In this case, what is there to change? I still eat hot dogs even though I know what’s in them.
It isn’t anything dramatic. I guess I always knew, in the same way that I know there is a skeleton in my body, and that my guts aren’t pretty. But this isn’t as intrinsic as the things our DNA writes for us, this grew after. It is deep-set. Without major surgery, it won’t be unmade. How malignant is it? Do i coexist, or do i make the incision?
I don’t want to ignore it. It is there. Things have already changed. So i got a look inside where i didn’t want to see. It happens sometimes.

The theme of ongoing projects has been on my mind for the past week. this one, and others- school, skill building in my art, even building friendships. It has to do with the stability that comes from commitment. With ADHD, it's difficult to hold myself down. i flit from one whim to another , and never put down any roots. but it makes it easier to think of things not as the monumental projects they'll be after they're completed, but something to chip away at a little every day. baby steps.

Okay this is my first ever reel, lmk if u want more process videos I guess?
•
In light of the new changes to instagram’s algorithm, I’m going to attempt to post more reels. Let me know what u guys think I should do, I have a couple ideas already such as sketchbook tours, more process videos, and even requests as a promotional event. Keep in mind that my commissions are still open as well as the option to buy prints from my shop linked in my bio and even digital copies of preexisting works which go for a flat rate of 10$.

Sorry I haven’t been posting much recently, I’ve been super busy with catching up with outstanding schoolwork as well as doing holiday stuff. Recently I went skating with friends and exchanged gifts! merry Christmas btw if u celebrate, I completely forgot that it was today 🤭 LMAO this year is so screwed up

Frogtober day 30: there’s something off about this one, can you figure out what it is?

Oops, blast from the past! This is the last of my old style you’ll see on this account, but never fear... now is the time to unveil my surprise from a while ago, I’m seriously considering starting a patreon!! There I’ll post frogs from my style from before I changed it, as well as commissions, wips, and PROCESS VIDEOS!!! If you’re interested and would subscribe please let me know, any little bit of income really helps. This commission is for @strawberryoaks , and it really touched my heart in a big way. It’s been a while since a commission has made its way into my heart like this. It’s a frog in the middle of metamorphosis, which is something I’ve attempted before but it just didn’t turn out like I wanted it to. Now, this turned out just perfect IMO for one very specific reason, and if you know why keep it hush so my followers can figure it out!!

Frogtober day 17: large

I realized some things today, so I’m going to start this post off strong. Since my content has started to become stagnant, I’ll be branching out from frogs after frogtober is over. I don’t think much else will be switching up, I’ll still be drawing in a sort of semi-realistic shading heavy artstyle, and I’ll most likely keep my theme the same yellow-cream colour. I just feel like as an artist I’m limiting myself, and even though I’ve kind of built myself off of frogs i need to accept that this era of my art is coming to a close. Maybe in the future I’ll draw frogs again- perhaps I’ll continue this series on patreon for paying customers only, but as of my free content you guys can probably expect new things from me coming soon. Not until frogtober is over, though, so before then you’ll have at least 10 new frogs to end this out with a bang.
