I want to thank everyone for all the thoughts, prayers, calls, messages, and well wishes over the past few weeks. They have truly meant a lot to my family and me.

Today, at my two-week post-op checkup following my meningioma surgery, I received great news: everything is looking good, and I’m heading toward a full recovery. But from the minute I came out of surgery, I was talking and cracking jokes.

I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the Baylor Neurosurgical Team for their exemplary care and incredible work. Every step of the way, they were informative, reassuring, compassionate, and professional. I could not have asked for a better team to guide me through something this serious.

A special thank you to Dr. Fuentes for his dedication not only to his patients, but also to developing and mentoring the next generation of outstanding neurosurgeons. His commitment to the profession and to those under his guidance deserves to be recognized and commended.

I’m also extremely grateful to the VA and their staff for the care, support, and coordination they provided throughout this entire process.

Two weeks post-op, feeling stronger every day, grateful for the people who helped get me here, and looking forward to making a full recovery.

Thank you again to everyone who kept me in your thoughts and prayers and most of all Amanda for saving my life. she recognized something was right and brought me to the ER just in time. 🙏🏽

I I wantothank everyone who checked in; it’s been hard to process the last couple of days. I realize how much worry and stress this may have put on those close to me. The doctors here in this unit have been amazing, and I have all the confidence that I will have a good recovery. It’s been a lot of process over the last couple of days. I know for some that it’s been hard, worrying and stressing about me. The doctors here are amazing. Well experienced, I have every confidence that I will recover well. taken in Michael E.
