Different styles. Same standard. ALWAYS THE MAIN ATTRACTION❤️‍🔥

Versatility isn’t just a skill, it’s a staple of HBCU dance culture. From precision and technique to energy, style, and showmanship, the Howard University Ooh La La! Danceline takes pride in bringing it ALL to the floor.

Rooted in tradition and driven by creativity, HBCU dance continues to evolve through individuality and the ability to captivate an audience with every performance. We pride ourselves on honoring that legacy while embracing the excellence that continues to carry the culture forward.

Ooh La La! ❤️💙

The Ooh La La! Danceline is proud to welcome Aalaila Jenkins as our new Advisor!❤️‍🔥

A New Orleans native, Aalaila dedicated four years to Ooh La La!, serving as Co-Captain and Tail, and now steps into a new role with the team that has played such an important part in her life.

With 20 years of dance training across Ballet, Contemporary, African, Tap, Majorette, Hip Hop, and more, Aalaila brings a strong technical foundation and a deep love for the art of dance.

As we step into this new era, we extend our deepest gratitude to our former advisors Christine Jenkins, Artina Austin, & Princess Alintah-Wooding for seven years of leadership, love, and dedication to Ooh La La! Their impact helped shape the team & sisterhood into what it is today, and we are honored to continue building upon the foundation they created.

For Aalaila, this is more than a new role — it’s an opportunity to pour back into the organization that poured so much into her.

Four years on the field. Now, a new chapter begins. ✨
Welcome home, Coach Lai. OLL! ❤️ Forever!
