Risk isn’t sitting still, and neither is the competition for leaders’ attention. HUB’s 2026 Middle Market Profitability & Resiliency Report finds cybersecurity, rising costs, AI adoption, regulatory change and geopolitical pressure are all competing for the top spot, and there’s no clear number one.

That constant pressure is what the report calls risk fatigue: leaders don’t stop caring about these risks, they just stop moving on them. Confidence drops, and decisions stall.
The organizations pulling ahead aren’t eliminating risk. They’re building the maturity to prioritize it, stay engaged and act with confidence.

A long-time client had spent decades building a life for her growing family and finally found the Cape Cod property she and her husband had searched years to find. She'd paid for insurance for years and never once filed a claim.

The goal doesn’t have to be loud to be worth taking seriously, and some of the work I’m most proud of has come from picking up on the thing someone almost didn’t mention.

Effective January 1, 2027, Andrew Forchelli becomes Executive Vice President enterprise-wide, Carol Mills takes on the role of Chief Sales Officer enterprise-wide, Billy Hobson is named President of HUB Southern California and Tim Geddes becomes President of HUB Coastal in Canada.
