We started making this film with a question: what is music beyond sound, and why does it move us?

Over the years, we immersed ourselves in a community that transformed our understanding of music, connection, accessibility, and belonging. What began as a documentary became something much more personal. We finished it changed by the people we met along the way.

The Way We Move is a celebration of the Deaf community, of music as a feeling rather than a sound, and of our shared desire to connect, express ourselves, and be part of something larger than ourselves.

Through vibration, movement, memory, and emotion, it reminds us that some of the most powerful experiences in life exist far beyond any language. by @hubercornet

Delighted to welcome Nyle DiMarco as part of the producing team of The Way We Move. His work at the intersection of storytelling and social impact, along with his influence and strong commitment to the Deaf community, perfectly aligns with the film’s vision taken in Austin, Texas by @hubercornet

Pitch : Amber Galloway, a trailblazer in American Sign Language interpretation, takes us on a journey into the deep bond between the Deaf world and music. We follow her as she teaches struggling recruits who she hopes will have what it takes to join her at Austin City Limits music festival.
