Happy Father’s Day Dad,

Thank you for always showing up in every role you play as a dad. Through every game, every practice, every tough conversation, and every big moment in my life, you’ve always been there. You’ve taught me what it means to work hard, stay faithful, and keep going no matter what life throws at you.

This year has shown me more than ever not only the dad you are but the kind of man you are. Watching you face challenges that most people couldn’t even imagine and still put your family first daily has been one of the greatest examples of strength I’ve ever seen. Even on the hardest days, you’ve continued to love us, support us, and be the dad we’ve always needed. You continue to put each of us before yourself in a time in your life that you are most important.

So much of who I am today comes from you. The way I compete, the way I treat people, the way I handle adversity, and the faith I lean on all started with the example you set for me growing up. I couldn’t be more thankful for a Dad that’s shown me how to follow Jesus daily.

Thank you for every sacrifice, every lesson, every ride to practice, every late night conversation that gets hard, and every time you’ve believed in me when I haven’t believed in myself. Thank you for always believing in me and telling me to keep going.

I love you, Pops. I’m proud to be your son, and I’m thankful every day that God chose you to be my dad. You’re the strongest person I’ve ever met, your resilience and strength show daily that Gods been teaching you for years. You live in faith of knowing that Gods got a new thing coming. This giant is not greater than our faith, there’s a new thing coming. Keep believing Dad, Gods with you every day and always there for you. The enemy keeps overplaying his hand dad after day, don’t buy into it. He thinks he’s winning but he doesn’t stand a chance in this fight. The enemy will never have more power than our father in heaven.

I would like to take a moment and thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for this blessing to continue on this journey of doing what I love at the next level! Without him I am nothing and wouldn’t have this possibility. I want to thank My parents for their unwavering support and love they give me every day. I’m tremendously blessed for this next opportunity to transfer to Upper Iowa University! I want to say thank you to Coach Voigt and Coach Jorgensen for this amazing opportunity. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20

For those that know me the past 5 years have been everything but something easy to come to God. Today marks a new chapter. Not only a new chapter with Jesus but now moving forward with him forever. The past 5 years have been filled with tons and tons of ups and downs depression and anxiety . I’m not perfect and never will be but it doesn’t matter because Jesus loves me and loves each and every one of us just for the person he made us to be. By Jesus Christ, the righteous I am justified! The past year has been a journey itself but through faith in Jesus and leaving everything up to him I’ve come so far just by little belief that’s turned into something so much bigger and deeper. Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH, and THE LIFE. Without God nothing is possible with God everything you could ever dream of is possible. Matthew 17:20 says, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” With all my faith in God I close out my sinful past and walk into new chapters of life to start and begin. Jesus says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” I want to say thank you to Jesus for his guidance along this journey but also the people around me and the tremendous support everyday when it gets tough to keep pushing forward. This isn’t the end of the road but only just the beginning of something big God has planned for my life. A day I won’t ever forget thank you Jesus for tremendously blessing me each and every day. Jesus you make the darkness tremble. Excited for this new beginning with God. by @hudsonivey2
