Join us on Saturday, July 18 for a Hudson-Mohawk Bird Club field trip exploring Northern Washington County. We’ll meet at 6:30 AM at Malta Medical Emergency Care on Route 67, just west of I-87 Exit 12, before heading north in search of Trumpeter Swans around Granville and continuing through the Whitehall area and beyond. We hope you’ll join us for a great morning of birding! Rain date is Sunday, July 19.

A beautiful pair of grassland residents from Fort Edward! These outstanding photos of a Marsh Wren and Swamp Sparrow were captured by @hallux_photography /@yourdailybird_ during our Saturday, June 20 field trip. Join us for a morning bird walk Sunday 5/31 at Strawberry Fields in the Town of Amsterdam. This conservation property features 2.5 miles of trails through fields and forest, offering excellent habitat for species such as Bobolink, Eastern Bluebird, Baltimore Oriole, Common Yellowthroat, and Ovenbird.

We’ll explore the trails and see what turns up. Be prepared for wet or muddy conditions and tall grass.

Join us for a morning of birding at Cherry Plain State Park on the Rensselaer Plateau sat 5/30. Its higher elevation, cool climate, and mix of forest and wetland habitats make it a hotspot for northern breeding species, including Blackburnian, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue and Black-throated Green Warblers, Winter Wren, Veery, Common Raven, and more.
