Been hearing this 1998 remix of Barbara Tucker’s Beautiful People all over TikTok and Instagram. Here’s my contribution with this feeling-myself selfie. I was 18 when it was released and I’ll be 45 this year. How time flies but great music sticks around! by @hugozazuetta

Happy 24th (almost silver) anniversary. What a wild ride it’s been but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Hoping to reach gold, diamond and granite together with you. by @hugozazuetta

Bad Bunny - DTMF is not my usual vinyl post but with all its fusion of salsa, bomba, jibara and modern reggaeton beats it’s the album I’ve chosen to close out Hispanic Heritage Month. Personally,, reflecting themes of aging, fleeting moments with loved ones and personal reflection. This album’s grown on me. by @hugozazuetta

Whether you listened to her pre or post RPDR matters not, as long as you find Yma Sumac. (from Quechua “Ima sumaq”, meaning “how beautiful”), was a Peruvian-born vocalist, actress, model, musical composer and producer. She won a Guinness World Record for the Greatest Range of Musical Value in 1956. She has also been called “Queen of Exotica” and is considered a pioneer of world music. by @hugozazuetta

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with this beautiful track by the late Totó La Momposina, included in this great cumbia collection I found at Amoeba a few years back. I was lucky to have seen Totó perform back in 2012 in Miami, what a powerhouse that woman was. A memory that I will always cherish. by @hugozazuetta
