THE BLANK SLATE is a @studio6.nyc ART EXPERIENCE At 6PM, the doors opened. Artists and attendees entered Studio6 together to find 16 blank canvases stapled to the walls. No finished art and Nothing to see, yet. Then the clock started. Over the next five hours, 16 artists created their work live, from a completely blank canvas to a finished, or unfinished piece. Attendees watched the entire process unfold: the first mark, the decisions, the mistakes, the changes and the final touches.
At exactly 11PM, brushes and markers went down. Wherever the artwork was at that moment, it was done. Each artist then priced their piece, and the canvases immediately became available for collectors to purchase, giving people the opportunity to buy a work of art they had just watched come to life. Thank you to every artist who took part, every person who came to experience it and every collector who supported the artists. Studio6 isn’t interested in being like every other gallery. We create experiences for artists. We create experiences for audiences. We’re changing the experience of collecting art.
Studio6 Gallery
Great Art. Great Vibes.

🇪🇨🗽 taken in New York, N.Y. by @hugusart_
