One minute of assembling our CHABO 👑 in Northern Light Cerakote — bearings pressed, hardware fitted, rear triangle connected.

And then there’s that moment when all those individual parts suddenly become one thing:

Pictures from a customer build. Still the best part of this job.

We don’t build many bikes. So when one shows up finished, out in the wild, with someone’s own parts on it, that is the whole reason we do this.

Real riders. Real trails. Not a studio.

Dropouts, PLA first.

Before anything goes to the metal printer, it goes through the FDM printer on the bench. Cheap, fast, and the only honest way to check clearances: tyre, chain, caliper, dropout, all in the hand.

Yes, the CAD shows the clearance way too tight. Work in progress. Nobody would produce it like this, that is exactly why the plastic one exists.

Print, fit, adjust, print again. Steel comes last 🐔

KO SHAMO is most probably my favorite bike I have ever built.
Serious business and childish nonsense at the same time.

Super proud that @tallbiketommy rode it from Munich to Beijing in only a bit over 100 days. Incredible.

I have a weird thing for dropouts.

Most people never look at them. I spend weeks on them. The Pathfinder ones for @standert: UDH, 140 mm flat mount, mudguard threads, hollow print. Every surface has a job.

Two CHABOs in a field. Same frame, opposite answers.

One runs everything internal. Cerakote, masked artwork, clean lines.

The other runs everything outside. Raw steel, blued, no paint at all. Every cable where you can see it.

Same geometry, same flex pivot, same printed dropouts. The rest is up to you.

Which one would you ride 🐔
