American National weight class and absolute Champ!!Today was a good in the office and you know what? Today was good because I failed yesterday!!My American National comp started really bad.I lost my first fight in the Gi after a stupid mistake and like I said in the Black Belt division there is no room for mistakes.I was down for the rest of the day, not because of the lost but because I know I can beat these guys. So today I was looking for redemption!!I was focused and fought smarter.Won 4fights by Sub and 2 on points.Really happy about my performance especially that I am not training much Nogi anymore.It doesn’t matter how many times you fail what matter is how you react to it!! Today, I turn 41.I was a kid full of dreams but not the kind of dreams most 9-year-olds have.That kid dreamed of standing on top of the world, winning medals for his country, and making the people around him proud. He didn’t know how it would happen.He only knew he would never stop trying.Looking back, I’m proud of that kid. Not because of the medals, the titles, or the achievements, but because he never gave up on the dream that lived inside him. He chose to keep going when it was hard, to believe when others doubted, and to get back up every time he fell.Today, my dream has evolved.The greatest achievement isn’t what I’ve won, it’s having the chance to help others believe in themselves, chase their own dreams, and discover what they’re truly capable of.Dreams don’t have an expiration date. Behind the scenes - fight camp 3 days a week for months. Strength, power, conditioning,... every session has a purpose, leading up to fight day. Assault bike sprints, heavy lifting, jumps,.. Tools to make athletes more powerful, faster, sharper. The progression he showed over these months was genuinely something else. And it's only the beginning. We each have our own story and reason.But we all work towards the same goal.Being the best version of ourselves so no one can beat our ass. In any field.
