Quando @teachermariramos soube que eu faria uma viagem internacional a trabalho, preparou aulas especiais que não apenas me ajudaram a falar inglês. Foi muito além! The second I told Priyanka I was Nigerian, the floodgates opened. 😂🇳🇬🇮🇳I eat Indian food on repeat and she does the same with Nigerian food. We immediately started fangirling over each other’s favorite dishes. I love the beauty of the international experience, how one small detail can make a stranger feel familiar. After this interview, a friend of mine shared with me that her 2yr old son had just been diagnosed with autism a few days before and she hadn’t started processing it until she heard Kennedy share her journey with something similar. She said because Kennedy opened up, she had more of a road map to courageously accept and move through her own story, even though she was scared af. I was floored. I teared up immediately because the timing of that was spiritual. Sharing our human experiences is what makes us feel less alone. It is so important despite the individualism bs we are sold. We are mirrors for each other. Reflections for courage & hope & safety & love. That is why @human2humanwithstacyike exists. This is what we are doing. I hope hearing this makes you feel less alone.
