I think I have been remiss in sharing my brother’s obituary. My sister-in-law was kind to let me write it. Gene was a very private person. I always knew how much he was liked by the people around him. He was sometimes a big brother in a little brother body to me. He was gentle and kind and fun to be around. It’s a really sad night tonight! It has been 3 weeks and I feel like my grief comes in waves.

If you have a memory of Gene, or know someone who does, I hope you’ll feel encouraged to share in his obituary. If you feel so inclined, there is also a donation link for muscular dystrophy. So little is known about his form and I never want anyone to suffer the way he did. But he did it with such grace, humour and strength!!!

Today I saw an adult brother and sister sitting on opposite sides of their yard, not speaking, interacting or enjoying each other’s company and I cried! You can’t know until you know, but I’d give just about anything for another card game/board game where Gene beats me yet again, a laugh as I hit yet another golf ball in whatever water feature was anywhere near, the sound of his laugh or a heart-to-heart chat. We were close despite the physical distance we lived from each other. I miss him so much!!!

My advice… find your peace with those you love! Even when your relationship was great, you’ll second-guess if you could have spent more time together. by @humanbeinginst

I am so proud to share this book with you! I had the incredible honour of coaching this author when she was in elementary school. She was an incredibly talented hockey player, heading to international soccer at the highest levels in Europe and (most importantly 🤣)my point guard on a dynasty of winning elementary girls’ basketball teams!!!

Beyond that Ms. Romano is a wonderful human being!!!

I couldn’t be more proud to recommend this book to teachers, moms, and athletes everywhere! It’s available on Amazon and I’m certain she’d share her experiences with classes.

For those who knew my strong, beautiful younger brother, he took his last breath this morning! He was ready to go home. We will miss him very much! He was loved and he loved with all his heart! ❤️ 🙏😢 by @humanbeinginst

Please keep my brother in your prayers. After a 3 year long battle with Myotonic Dystrophy, he is in palliative care and preparing for his transition home! I will be forever grateful to my Radiant Roots for showing Gene the love that Jesus has always had for him! God bless you on your journey, Gene! What do you give out for birthdays?

These cups have been my go-to for several years! Add a sticker, a birthday toy, and a sleeve of powdered juice and it’s a hit. The birthday cups are mentioned as one of my third graders’ favourites every year! Worth the couple of buck and prepped now so I never miss a birthday.

26 years in the making and he’s almost there! The man cave is almost ready! Pool table is level now and awaiting mud and felt. Art is almost all up! Pinball machine is working. Pool table light is on it’s way! So proud a d thrilled for Greg! Maybe a bigger screen tv for his birthday! Hmmm!
