When poles meet ropes✨🌬️
A body caught between freedom and restraint, spinning towards infinity, yet held by invisible boundaries.

In the tension between movement and stillness, surrender and resistance, the body becomes both prisoner and poet.

A delicate paradox, captured in fragments of time, where the struggle for freedom becomes a dance of its own.

Green snake

13*38 cm, mixed media on 300g/m2 cotton paper, 2026

The image of the Green Snake is inspired by the younger sister of Bai Suzhen in the Chinese legend White Snake.

At first, green snake is filled with curiosity about the human world, playfully wandering through its wonders. Gradually, she becomes immersed in its desires, experiencing the entanglements of love and hatred, passion and sorrow. And then, little by little, she begins to see through the illusions of the world. Her awakening often arrives in a single instant.

In this painting, the beautiful Green Snake dwells among the mountains and forests, where the sound of spring water mingles with the whisper of wind through the leaves.

Amidst this quiet harmony, all that is beautiful becomes a prayer held within the heart. by @humanchuo

These have always been my favorite shibari photos of all time (maybe I’m exaggerating a little 🤭).

But Eurix 2017, in Berlin, was truly something special.

Through the lens of @shantelliao , a very special era of my life was captured. I still feel like it was one of the highlights of my life.
It was a time when I discovered what it meant to be FREE — the freedom to love, to feel, to play, to share, and so much more…

Almost ten years later, everyone in these photos has followed a different path. I wish them all the very best. ✨💚

How beautiful it is that, for a moment in time, our paths crossed, and we created so many beautiful memories together. And Shantel captured them, so they wouldn’t simply fade away into the river of time.

I’m going back to Eurix next week, and I’m feeling a little emotional.

Perhaps there will be new memories to create, for the future me to look back on with nostalgia. 💚 by @humanchuo

Mountain Spirit · 山鬼
13*38 cm, mixed media on 300g/m2 cotton paper, 2026

This painting is inspired by The Mountain Spirit, a poem from The Nine Songs , traditionally attributed to the ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan.

Written more than two thousand years ago, this poem tells of a mountain spirit longing for her beloved.

Amidst the deep forests, mist, and rain, she waits for the one she loves, caught between hope and sorrow.

Across the centuries, her longing remains — a timeless echo of love, absence, and waiting. by @humanchuo

What happens when pole dance meets shibari? 🪢

Movement & restraint. The flow of dance against the stillness of a bound body.

For 5 years, pole has been my way of challenging my body, learning to love it, and discovering my strength. But lately I’ve been asking myself: what comes after the tricks? Beyond harder and harder moves, how do I make this my own and create something that resonates with me?

My answer: create it together ✨

This is our first piece. @humanchuo thank you. You’re an incredible artist with endless creativity, and I’m so lucky to know you and step into your world. So proud of what we built by stretching each other’s imagination.
