Former Senator Lamar Alexander attended the dinner to discuss his book about his life and career. Memphis author Emily Yellin was also there, promoting @nonviolent_thebook about the late civil rights icon Rev. James Lawson.

Thousands of books. Thousands of readers. Countless perspectives! Bringing people together to explore diverse ideas through books is democracy and civility at their best! by @humanities_tn
