If there is one thing I can say for sure, it is that destiny brought me to Detroit. And I truly consider myself privileged and blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Juan Atkins, spend time around him, and share moments with this incredible artist, the creator of Detroit Techno, and above all, a wonderful human being who has sadly left us. Juan leaves behind an incredible legacy for the world. His story will live forever in the hearts of thousands of people and fans around the planet. He was the creator of Detroit Techno and one of the most important figures in the history of electronic music. In many ways, everything started with him. Without his vision, creativity, and contribution, none of what we know today would have happened in the same way. I am truly grateful and happy to have had the opportunity to be close to him and, especially, to have witnessed what was his final performance alongside Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May, together as the Belleville Three ( @the_belleville_three_bv3_ ) at @diamondbackmusichall . Being there and experiencing that moment is something truly historic to me, a memory I will carry with me forever. I honestly don’t have enough words to express how much Juan Atkins means to music, to the global electronic music culture, and to my own life. He has always been a major inspiration and reference for me, not only as an artist and creator, but also as a human being. On behalf of @djsoundmag 🌎🇧🇷🇺🇸, I want to thank everyone for the opportunity to share this tribute and express my deepest feelings, admiration, and respect. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, close friends, and everyone who had the privilege of being part of his life. Thank you for everything, Juan. Your music, your story, and your legacy will live forever. With love and respect. RIP @juan.cybotron.atkins Special Tks also to my friend @hkdetroit and @diamondbackmusichall that also contributed for this moments became possible by @humanrobotdetroit
