Songs for every age and every feeling. Kids' music, big emotions, emo, rock, rap, for all the messages, beautiful things that make us human.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
This one is for the dads and partners.

Every day, there are a million and one things your partner does to make your family’s life feel like home.

Some are easy to see: the meals, the laundry, the appointments and the endless cleaning.

Others are tucked inside the moments—the favorite cup remembered, the tears soothed, the teenager quietly checked on, the toddler invited to dance while dinner waits.

One of the greatest ways you can show your love and gratitude is to step into those moments with her.

Turn down the burner. Wipe up the food. Bring her favorite coffee. Take over the loudest part of the evening. Dance with the kids. Let her breathe—and then help her laugh.

Don’t only tell her she is beautiful inside the chaos. Join her there. Help carry it. Add your own love to it.

Because when you become part of the laughter, the mess and the memories, you aren’t merely helping around the house.

You are helping turn an ordinary family moment into gold.

These moments do not wait until life becomes easier.

They are happening now—and you belong in them.

“The Woman I See” by Human Things is streaming now.

Meet Human Things.

I created Human Things because the words we repeat matter.

Music has always given me somewhere to place the feelings that were too heavy, complicated, or beautiful to leave unspoken. These songs begin with real human experiences: love, grief, parenthood, healing, burnout, laughter, fear, and the small moments that quietly become our lives.

Human Things is openly AI-assisted. The stories, emotions, and lessons are human. Technology helps me give them a musical voice.

Some songs may help you cry. Some may help you breathe. Some may remind you to keep going, and others may simply make an ordinary day feel a little more beautiful.

This is music for feeling deeply without getting stuck there.

If a song helps you feel understood, then it has found the person it was made for.

Welcome to Human Things.

Maybe your crown is scratched.

Maybe it carries marks from mistakes, grief, anxiety, rejection, survival—or simply all the days you showed up without feeling ready.

It is still yours.

Here is a little piece of “Scuffed Up Crown,” a song about releasing the belief that we must become perfect before we deserve to take up space.

You do not need fixed.
You do not need found.
You are here.
You are enough.

Maybe you don’t need a completely different life.

Maybe you just need permission to begin again.

To breathe in.

To let yesterday become yesterday.

To remember that being tender doesn’t make you weak—and having scars doesn’t make you broken.
This is “Brand New Day” by Human Things. ☀️

What if the first voice you heard every morning spoke to you like a friend?

I am good today.
I forgive me now.
Yesterday can rest.
I get a brand-new sky.

“Sunrise In My Cup” is for anyone learning that beginning again doesn’t require perfection, just a little more kindness toward the person in the mirror.

She sees the cold coffee, the missed appointment, the laundry, and everything she didn’t finish.

They see the woman who made chaos feel like home. 💜

You remember the moment you lost patience.

They remember the missing toy you found beneath the couch.

You remember everything you didn’t finish.

They remember playing on the floor when you were exhausted.

You remember wondering whether you gave them enough.

They remember calling for you—and watching you come.

Some days, you’re running on crumbs.

The love is not.

“Swish Swish Morning Routine” began as a tiny song I used to sing while helping my daughter brush her teeth.

Then she started asking for it every morning.

What began as one of those silly little songs parents make up to get through a routine became part of ours—a few happy minutes of brushing, smiling at ourselves in the mirror and starting the day together.

So I turned it into a real song and paired it with a positive affirmation little ones can sing:

I am beautiful.
I am brilliant.
I am happy.
I am kind.
I am strong.

Because the words our children repeat can become part of the voices they carry inside them.

I hope “Swish Swish Morning Routine” brings a little music, laughter and self-love to your family’s bathroom mirror too.

Ordinary gold is made of the moments that shape a life.

The first hand held. The big yes. The imperfect wedding where everyone laughed anyway. First steps. First days. Watching the people we love grow—and begin journeys of their own.

These moments arrive, shine and pass more quickly than we ever expect.

But when we are in the thick of life—with too much on our plates and too much on our minds—it can be difficult to stop, breathe and recognize the golden gifts already surrounding us.

Sometimes we have to slow down.

Put the screens down.

Look at one another.

Connect with our families, our friends and our communities.

That is when we realize how rich we already are.

That is Ordinary Gold. by @humanthingsband

A note for the parents running on crumbs:

There are seasons of parenthood when almost nothing feels finished.

The coffee gets cold. The laundry waits. Someone needs a snack five minutes after breakfast. You clean one mess while another appears behind you, and sometimes the only quiet moment comes after everyone else is asleep.

You may wonder whether you are giving your children enough when you feel like there is hardly anything left of you.

But they are not measuring the day by the dishes in the sink.

They are remembering the way you held them when they were tired. The ridiculous joke that made everyone laugh. The morning you sat on the floor instead of finishing the chores. The familiar sound of your voice and the feeling that home was wherever you were.

You may be running on empty.

The love is not.

Someday the table will stay clean. The toys will stop appearing under every foot. Nobody will need to be carried from one room to another.

You may miss the crumbs then.

So if today is loud, messy and held together by reheated coffee, please know this:

You are not failing at the beautiful parts because you are tired.

You are tired because you are living them.

“Running on Crumbs” by Human Things is for every parent loving their family through the beautiful chaos.

A mirror can show your face.

It cannot show everything you have survived to still be standing in front of it.

It cannot show the people who feel safer because you exist, the love hidden inside your tired eyes, or all the times you kept going when nobody knew how hard it was.

So if your reflection feels difficult to love today, begin with something smaller.

Do not search for perfection.

Look for the person who stayed.

Speak to your reflection like someone you love. They have heard enough criticism. Let them hear kindness in your voice, too.

There is something strange about the way we see ourselves.

A mirror gives us a reversed image. A photograph freezes a fraction of a second. Neither one can show the whole truth of a human life.

They cannot show how your face changes when someone you love walks into the room.

They cannot show the comfort in your voice when someone needs you, the way children search for you when they feel unsure, or the quiet relief another person feels simply because you are there.

They cannot show the battles you survived privately.

They cannot show every morning you got up while carrying something heavy, every apology you meant, every boundary you finally learned to hold, or every small way you are trying to become gentler than what hurt you.

Yet we stand before the mirror and judge the evidence it cannot possibly contain.

We find the tired eyes and miss the person who stayed awake caring.

We notice the lines and miss all the laughter that helped create them.

We see what has changed and forget how much living it took to change us.

Maybe loving your reflection does not begin with believing it is perfect.

Maybe it begins with recognizing that the person looking back at you has been present for every difficult moment of your life and is still here.

Speak to that person like someone you love.

They have heard enough criticism.

Let them hear kindness in your voice, too.
