For Your Grammy® Consideration
Category: Best Traditional Blues Album

Mehran Matin · Julyo · SF1

We made this album with a great team, and it has been a journey of about two years. I’m really happy with the outcome and proud of what we created together.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

A huge thank you to all the artists, musicians, producers, engineers, and talented people who were involved in bringing this project to life. @dimitrisnezisofficial @emmgale @humblecomposer @an__vedi @julyoofficial @sf1music @duckrostico and...

Blues has always been one of the most challenging and beautiful genres to work in, and I’m grateful to have been part of this journey.

Thank you for listening and for your consideration. 💙🎶 by @humblecomposer

Neither Right is Left
Words and Music by Formant

So here this world heard my plea
And now I can rejoice, cause I see (finally)
That those things we wish for can twist (Wait…here I go again)
and that forever song you had, You’ll learn to miss

Amped up from Drugs and fear
A socialite sheds a wanton tear
Completely misunderstanding anything close to reality
completely disconnected from this life's fatality

[Chorus]
Neither Right nor Left
Ever processed the death
of a green eyed gaze
In comfort's praise

Neither Left not Right
Not the middle, no fight,
just typical ambivalence,
as I wait for another Ambulance

[Verse 2]
A crazy thought, could you say you were sorry?
No, those words don't exist in your Vocabulary
But your voice grows quiet when it's your turn to shout
and this is why, all along... I had my doubts.

To smash the old pages, and re-write the book
to give himself permission to understand that look.
and wait peaceably for him to utter another excuse
and not look the elephant in it'll long growing tooth.

[Chorus]
Neither Right nor Left
Ever processed the death
of a green eyed gaze
In comfort's praise

Neither Left not Right
Not the middle, no fight,
just typical ambivalence,
as I wait for another Ambulance

Solo

Neither Right is Left
And processed our death
of a brown eyed gaze
as she leaves.

Hi friends Fans and Fam! Just wanted to say hi to all of you. Norovirus has taken over and I've been sick for over a week, so no video. Will likely have another 'Press Play' podcast next Friday, so set your calendars for 9pm on the 25th :) For now here is an unnamed trumpet player on a beautiful Flugel gifted by @alanquinn7 The incredulous look on his face is the High C he's popped after a 7 eigth note tripelet (is that what they still call them?) rise through the roof. #producerlife #musician #musicianofinstagram🎶❤️🌈🫶🏻🫠 #Composer #studiolife #trumpetplayer #flugel #flugelhorn by @humblecomposer
