Riding has always quenched my thirst for speed since I was a kid. At a tender age of 7 or 8, I would oftentimes go to school riding with Dad, and I felt like I was having the time of my life. Good thing I currently have a partner who shares the same passion as my father. They could probably talk about motorcyles for hours on end. What a lucky woman I am to have cool men in my life!

As a pillion passenger, I ensure that my outfit makes me feel confident. I want to ride in style with one of my reliable Seiko watches, my preferred riding clothes, and my semi-bespoke motorcycle boots from the people behind Shift by Godfather.

CONVERSATIONS OVER #WATCHESANDCOFFEE

After I got my MTO boots, I had an opportunity to talk to a fellow female watch enthusiast and a lovely friend of mine named Mar in a coffee shop hidden somewhere in the metro. I got to know her love story with watches. And here are some of things we have in common.

We are Seikoholics, for one. Interestingly, we both admire the SKX line for the simple reason that they're handsome and reliable -- great for everyday use.

We think that watches tell so much about a person's personality and life experiences.

We both like to visit watch stores to be updated on what's in stock. Hopefully, we see something we like.

Best of all, we like to share core memories and associations that come with each of the watches in our collection.

It's September 1. To us Filipinos, today officially marks the beginning of the Yuletide season. 🎄

Finally back in Manila and appreciating the fine tropical climate here.🌞 Loved Sapporo but it was a tad too cold for me. No new watch yet 😆 but I did score a new jacket there! This is how it looks after the initial soaking -- 30 mins in warm water. 😉 taken in The Podium by @humbletimekeeper

Last Wednesday, my partner and I spent the afternoon at the National Museum of Natural History because I had been wanting to go there even before the pandemic. And what better watch to wear than the Seiko “Happy Feet Penguin” 🐧 Baby Tuna in a place filled with animals and plants — albeit preserved? It was an afternoon well spent, as I learned a great deal about many species endemic to the Philippines.🦎🇵🇭🌿

I’ll probably visit the National Museum of Anthropology next, followed by the National Museum of Fine Arts. Hoping for sunnier days ahead! 🙏🌞

I'm so glad I was able to make it to the last day of #MoCAF2025 in BGC. The event showcased an array of quirky, intriguing, thought-provoking, and truly inspiring artworks. Definitely a fantastic way to kick off the week! ✨ taken in Marquis Events Place by @humbletimekeeper

Yes, I recently went for a drastic haircut! I was tired of my previous style and wanted to try something different. Honestly, the new look is starting to grow on me, even though a few people have commented that it makes me look "pogi" or like a lesbian. 😅

Anyway, the highlights of my weekend were:
1. Yardstick Coffee's Clockwork Orange — an espresso drink with orange slush as its base. The flavors were well-balanced, and I found it quite refreshing.
2. Sen-ryo by Genki Sushi's Wagyu Hamburg Steak — the burger patty was delicious, tender, and juicy! Interestingly, it was paired with a highly addictive crispy salmon skin salad on the side.
3. El Born's Basque Cheesecake — although it's pricey at PhP 399 per slice, I highly recommend it. The creamy, melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake had a hint of lemon and a Biscoff-infused crust.
