2 months away from the decks + no plan turned out a lot better than I was expecting!! Enjoyed an hour of total spontaneity and improvised creativity playing a mixture of tunes that I have enjoyed discovering recently mixed in with some other classics that have been on the USB for years.

I have enjoyed the opportunity to have my own show on @doppler_le1 but as most of you know I’ll be taking a break from DJing for the time to being to focus more on my work as a trumpet player, exploring and pushing all the avenues in that area of my life!! Open Signal 002 on @doppler_radio

This month I’m joined by Leicester based DJ @iamdcbl

Deeply influenced by Soundsystem Culture, DCBL is known for exploring those spaces in-between. With solid foundations in Dubstep & Jungle, he works to blend in the other influences around him pushing forward-thinking bass, breaks and all things percussive.

A recent discovery for me, but someone whose mixing ability and selection immediately resonated and inspired - very gassed for this one.

Yes people, super excited to announce that I am now a resident on @doppler_radio and through this I will be launching my new platform “Open Signal” - streaming live every last Wednesday of the month 20:00-21:00

Open Signal exists to create a platform for forward-thinking UK underground music, with a focus on grime, techno, dubstep, neo-grime, and bass-driven club culture. Stemming from the lineage of pirate radio and independent broadcast, providing a space where artists, DJs, producers and communities can share music outside of mainstream structures.

Through radio broadcasts, mix series, events and collaborations, Open Signal is committed to highlighting emerging talent alongside established voices, supporting regional scenes, and preserving the spirit of underground music culture. The platform seeks to champion authenticity, community and musical progression, connecting listeners with new sound and giving artists a space to reach new and wider audiences.

I’m really excited to have a regular radio show and incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Launching a platform of my own to present my ideas and concepts is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and the timing of if all feels right to launch now.

Happy New Year People!!

Here is some recent stuff from me including new productions and some overdue clips from a set on Mesh for @flatblockaudio I did end of last year.

This year is going to be about creating a lot more and consuming far less!! I'm still trying to be super active though so get at me for sets,radio,pirate/mixing sessions,producing,help with events, you name it.
