This Friday, our doors will stay open.

We didn’t come to this decision casually. We’re holding space for our friends, neighbors, and community members who are facing harm, fear, and uncertainty right now—especially those most impacted by violence, political decisions, and systems that put people at risk. We stand with those striking, organizing, and surviving.

Like many small businesses, our team depends on their shifts to make ends meet.

Cutting hours isn’t something we want to do, especially during an already difficult season. These winter months ask a lot of all of us, and we’re doing our best to move through them with care, integrity, and mutual support. This Friday, we’ll also be donating a portion of our sales to a local organization supporting immigrant neighbors with vital resources.

The last few weeks have been heavy. When everything feels overwhelming, community is what carries us.

We need places to gather, to talk, to listen, to eat together, and to remember we’re not alone. We’re honored to be one of those spaces—serving nourishing food, warm drinks, and a little comfort when it’s needed most.

So if you’d like, we’ll be here for you this Friday—and we hope for many Fridays after that.

We encourage anyone who is able to support your local business with CASH. Please avoid using credit cards if possible! Also, we will be donating 10% of our profits tomorrow to PIRC as our own way to show support.

Meet our newest barista extraordinaire, Jez! He just moved to the PNW from Arizona and is already missing the sunshine, so be sure to show him some warmth your next visit.

We also want to give yet another thank you to our loyal customers. It’s been a heck of a couple of weeks, but we brought sandwiches back this weekend, and we’ll have a full menu next week. Which means those burritos you love so much will make their return! by @hungryheartpdx
