Today is World Outlander Day, the first without new episodes coming soon. So it seems like the right time to share some news! I’m writing a book with @hanoversquarepress, an imprint of @harpercollins, about the history of the #Outlander TV series!

This series and what Diana Gabaldon initially created with her books is the intersection of everything I love — as a TV writer and as a historian. This book will be a celebration of all of it.

As I dig into this, I hope that fans will nurse their Droughtlander hangover by rewatching along with me! #worldoutlanderday by @hunter_wesley

It’s not every day you get to write your first cover story for @televisionacad AND get to be there when the cast of @theshardsfx sees it for the first time! An honor to share it with @hayeswarner @igby.rigney @grahamedwardcampbell at @televersefest. #theshards by @hunter_wesley

The brat prince killed it. #TheVampireLestat premiere and one-night-only live concert at the Beacon tonight were electrifying. Sam Reid is a star, rock and otherwise. @amcsannerice taken in Manhattan, New York by @hunter_wesley

Thanks to @atxfestival for having me back for seconds this year. Highly recommend seeking out rooms where people cheer for any and every TV show mentioned in a conversation. It’s good for the soul — that and the queso and BBQ. #atxtvs15 taken in Austin, Texas by @hunter_wesley

I’m moderating a few things this week at the @atxfestival! Tomorrow, I’ll be chatting with Brooke Shields and Amalia Williamson about their thrilling new @acorn_tv murder mystery comedy, “You’re Killing Me,” and talking to mini studio execs about their rise in the industry. And on Friday, I will be convening a newsroom meeting with the cast and creators of @peacock’s “The Paper,” and geeking out about NBC100 history with two of the leaders of Universal Television, NBC and Peacock. Stop by if you are in Austin! taken in Austin, Texas by @hunter_wesley

Over the moon (or rather Mars) about attending @scadtvfest this year. Moderating some fascinating conversations and having way too much fun with two of my best friends. Not a bad way to spend three days in February. Thanks for having me, SCAD! by @hunter_wesley
