Working on a new project with a virginal made by Gillian Alcock & Terry McGee (Canberra, 1981) based on an instrument built in 1552 by Marco Jadra. I’ve cracked open my copy of Margaret Fay Shaw’s ‘Folksongs and folklore of South Uist‘ to explore speculative Gaelic histories and futures with the virginal as an imagined clàrsach. Stay tuned for a new album coming out next month. taken in ANU School of Music by @huntercomposer

We had a great time last night playing with our AI companions! I was really blown away by Yichen Wang and Sandy Ma who played amazing duo and solo sets with their AR and quilt-based instruments. Last photo credit: Craig Greening who also spent four hours helping make it all happen @anuschoolofmusic @anucass @ouranu @anucecc taken in ANU School of Music by @huntercomposer

Hi, friends! I’ve been getting back into running and have signed up for a fundraiser from 31 October to 7 November.

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is a really helpful and positive organisation and does great work for our community. I’m happy to be able to raise some money to help those of us who need it.

No pressure at all, but if you would like to either donate to my run or do some running and join me in the campaign, you’ll be supporting a good cause.

Many thanks! (Link in the comments) taken in Ngunnawal Country by @huntercomposer
