5 years ago I wrote my common app essay on how Starbucks changed my life.

Well @lululemon I think you also did that.

From my first holiday @ Short Hills, to a short month @ Newbury, and then experiencing the happiest near two years of my life @ Chestnut Hill, all of y’all added so much to my life. I’m leaving content and fulfilled knowing I got what I needed from it all (Including a lifetime collection of leggings)

I wrote a sappy insta love letter like this when I left Starbucks, regretted it, but having been at lululemon the ability to be vulnerable and be fully yourself is what allowed me to grow so much. Already touched on this in my graduation post, but I think growth is beautiful. I couldn’t see the beauty at first, because I didn’t know it.

My training involved visions and goals, how to best support growth in ourselves,,,, felt fake. Couple years later I’ve kinda just concluded for myself that life is what you make of it, what *you* want to value and so on. Make it feel real. So yeah I do breathe the company culture now. Diehard fan. Mostly because I had always been in an environment with minimal opportunity for true growth. And now I prioritize entering and even creating an opportunistic environment for my mind, body, and relationships to grow. For that, I’m so appreciative.

So thank you, to every single person I have crossed paths with because of this company (past educators, current educators, guests, and friends of prior listed), regardless if we had the best or worst experiences. I’m excited for what is next and I’m confident I’ve learned enough from you all on how to create such a warm environment in every room I walk into♥️ (less the back room, that always be cold💔)

These last couple of years was me accepting the fact that the T will leave even if it sees me running for my life for it. Learned to just catch the next one.

I also learned that every experience means everything and nothing at all. People don’t remember what you said but how you made them feel. The challenges were necessary. Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward.

I learned that learning about yourself is the best way to succeed. Pulling out your own weeds. Taking responsibility. Being positive about mistakes, both your own and those around you.

As much as I’d like to just thank BU, I gained confidence and happiness with my second life @ the lemon. A team that shares all my core values- specifically inclusion, connection, and courage. I spent a lot of my life looking for a place I belonged and these last four years has taught me that it is possible to create a place of belonging for yourself by creating it for others. (shoutout my sense of belonging co-curricular class).

I was humbled by fe101 (I did pass on the first try though🤠) but as the years went on I valued the lessons inside the textbooks less and searched for freedom in choice and power in my own actions and words. Graduating with a business degree but more happy to share I personally feel like I cracked my own code to life which is being happy with wherever you are and encouraging others to do the same.
