To be honest I failed a lot in 2025. I allowed substance and lack of discipline into my life and for the first time I felt that I had lost control of the ship. Had I ever been in control? Maybe, sometimes. But often I quit when it got hard, gave into pain, weakness and stayed in a constant decline. Now, sometimes we need a wake up call, a rock bottom, a near death experience even.. Enough was just enough. Something clicked and I knew I had to change my ways and inevitably change how I am living this life. Maybe it was turning 30 and realizing how precious my health really is. Regardless, I wouldn’t go back and not fail. The failures taught me so much. I’ll be damned if I’m going to make those mistakes again. I don’t have a grand plan for 2026 nor anymore excuses. I’m 41 days sober today and currently running 20 miles + a week with plans to run a half marathon this spring or summer. I told myself I’d run at least 1 mile everyday this year. It’s not much but it’s honest work.

Oh, and still doing this photography thing. Just starting from scratch and falling in love with it all over again. Would like to mix more running, lifestyle, fitness into my photo flow as well. Guess we will see what the year holds.

Aspens in Colorado are peaking and this hike through them was as stunning as I always imagined it would be. Hopefully getting out into the mountains a few more times before winter and all the colors fade. Looking forward to snowy mountains as well.

This specific evening, the sky was changing rapidly and eventually a massive thunderstorm rolled in. Definitely made for a beautiful golden sunset + my favorite cloud formation, Mammatus clouds. One thing that inspires my photography is the meteorological side. Chasing weather conditions and knowing you’re about to see a gorgeous sunset just by the various types of weather and light combinations that day. It all plays a critical role in the creative process. taken in Kentucky Lake by @hunterstorch

Out with the old in with the new? Have always loved photographing this city from this side of the Cumberland. In an ever changing horizon I always find myself looking for a new perspective of this building. A staple of Nashville architecture, could never be replaced with shiny new glass. Although, new construction does make me excited to shoot downtown more. New isn’t all bad, new angles and frames to see what once was.
