Really enjoyed the new #projectablackplanet - the art and culture of Panafrica exhibition at #thebarbican this weekend. All about the influence of Pan-Africanism - the global movement that sought to liberate Africa and its diaspora from colonialism and western imperialism, which began in the 1900s with key players like Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah, Frantz Fanon and W.E.B Dubois - and its effect on contemporary art and culture. Fits perfectly with some of the great books I’ve just read: King Leopold’s Ghost by Adam Hochschild and The Second Emancipation, Nkrumah, Pan-Africanism, and Global Blackness at High Tide by #howardwfrench
Includes works by Chris Ofili, Thomas Adank, Simone Leigh, Samuel Fosso and Claudette Johnson. by @huntforcaroline

Bye bye Helsinki, I had a brilliant time judging the @kuvajournalistit Finnish photojournalism awards this weekend - as well as learning all about cold water swimming from @photographer_marzi. Thanks to the team and fellow jury for hosting me. Xx by @huntforcaroline

Interesting Ode to the ancestors exhibition at the Horniman museum, London - includes archive photos of excavations of African sites that date back to the 11th century.
