From this video I discovered I’m unfortunately not a @melnasab level riding commentator during my round 😅 based on my clucks and heavy breathing 😂 but I swear there are plenty of thoughts going on 💭 and plenty of praise is said to my girl at the end as you can see 🥰🍑

Sometimes I say the numbers in the line out loud if I’m uncertain. Or I say “woah” if it’s getting tight. But most of the time I stay silent until voice is needed. I say a lot more when I school at home if the horses are uncertain!

Do you talk out loud during your rounds? If so, what do you say?

Peaches reserve champion in the 1.20 Jr/Am division after 3 months out of the show ring (due to work) 🥹❤️🏆 Only 6 years old, this horse has shown me she’s got the stuff to be a spectacular horse for years to come in any ring.

As her owner, rider and trainer, I feel so incredibly proud of her effort all week. Anyone that’s worked with young horses knows it’s not easy. There are inevitable ups and downs. You have to trust the process and trust the horse will learn in due time. We were learning so much about each other during her 5 year old year. But as a 6 year old, Peaches has told me “hold my beer” 🍺 It’s been incredible being her true partner in the ring. Some days I have to hold her hand but most days, it’s just us as equal partners having fun out there. Here is to hoping we have many more healthy & happy years in the show ring!!! 💪💫
