This week, our Level II students attended fall prevention!

Falls are the leading cause of injury among adults 65 and older. As future occupational therapists, we had the opportunity to educate and screen individuals on fall risks while promoting safety and independence! by @huotgo

In 1974, Wright developed the first occupational therapy curriculum at a Historically Black College or University, leading to the launch of Howard University’s accredited OT program. Her leadership opened doors for generations of Black occupational therapists.

Her legacy continues to inspire Howard OTD students and OT practitioners committed to justice, access, and meaningful participation for all. ❤️💙🦬
