WALKING IN THE RAIN
Today at the @pinerymarket it was a bit of a wet one! But the rain also bright out some lovely people who chatted, laughed and bought our candles to warm their space back home.

Thank you for coming out to support local small businesses :)

A MESSAGE OF COMFORT

At Huron Candle Works, our mission is simple.

We create soy candles that bring warmth, comfort, and a little happiness into people’s lives.

Sadly, there are limits to what even the finest candle can do.

This week, friend and fellow @pinerymarket vendor Paul suffered a loss so profound, so heartbreaking, that no amount of fragrance, ambiance, or flickering candlelight could ease the pain.

His beloved Montreal Canadiens were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Despite our best efforts, there is currently no candle in our collection capable of soothing a wound of this magnitude.

In this difficult time, we offer Paul our thoughts, our prayers, and a ceremonial lighting of the soul. We also offer a symbolic anointing of his hockey aspirations, with hopes they may rise again next season in a glorious resurrection.

A candle burns.

A prayer is whispered.

A Canadiens jersey hangs heavy with sorrow.

Yet somewhere beyond the darkness, beyond the heartbreak, beyond the final buzzer...

there remains the faint possibility of next year.

Stay strong, Paul.

And remember:

Unlike playoff hopes, our candles are guaranteed to last for many hours.

MADE IN HURON COUNTY —
FOUND IN POLAND

One of the unexpected pleasures of running Huron Candle Works is discovering where our products end up.

This week, we spotted an open package of our COAST wax melts sitting on a sideboard in a home in Poland, surrounded by family keepsakes, trophies, and everyday life.

When we pour candles and package wax melts here in Huron County, we rarely know where they will travel. Most stay close to home. A few wander much farther.

It’s always a little surprising—and more than a little rewarding—to find a small piece of Huron County quietly making itself at home on the other side of the world.

STAND BACK!
SCIENCE IS HAPPENING!

We are back in the lab (aka: the kitchen) fine-tuning a formulation of a fave!

Last year in Paris, France, we took a perfume making course which provided inspiration and translated to how we build candle scents.

We test and consult, then lock down a 10ml final formulation. Then we interpolate that into large amounts for use in candle making.

We will be back to the @pinerymarket on Sunday. Drop by and say hello!

Yesterday’s amazing storm cleared and the sun shone during the spring market at @badapplebrewing. Despite the weather, it was a perfect day!

HAPPY HOLIDAY MARKET!

We’re packing our candles
and checking them twice,
wrapping up scents that smell cozy and nice.
A little barn magic, a flicker of cheer—
this is the market we wait for all year.

And tomorrow, we’ll be there!

November 15th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

60 Orchard Lane, Brussels, Ontario,
we’ll be back in our favourite cozy barn.

You’ll find us on the lower level, near the stairs.

We’re bringing Emberwood, our new Mindfulness candle, fresh room diffusers,
and all the classics you already love.

Come wander, breathe in the season,
and start the holidays with us. 🎄

HURON CANDLE WORKS, ATELIER
After months of planning, we’re beginning a new chapter for Huron Candle Works.

Fresh from our small group workshop at the Parisian atelier, Candora Perfumery, we’ve returned inspired — ready to create bespoke scents that reflect our mindfulness & wellness line of candles.

What began as a candle project in retirement has become a deeper study of fine scent. Through the winter, we will be developing three or four refined fragrances for private, meditative moments — crafted for those who value the calm between them.
