Remember when Oak View Mall had Younkers, Sears, Hollister, GAP, Eddie Bauer and a food court packed with familiar favorites?

A lot has changed since the mall opened in 1991, but Oak View isn’t empty. Plenty of familiar stores remain, along with newer local businesses and activities.

And another big change is coming, with Dillard’s planning to move to Westroads in 2027.

You’re supposed to get scared at Scary Acres. Not scare the people working there.

Jill visited the Omaha Halloween staple near 168th & Giles and made it through Master’s Castle. Including a room so full of fog she couldn’t see where she was going.

That’s when she accidentally touched one of the scare actors on the face. And she might have scared him more than he scared her.

Dr. Viv Ewing hosted her first Habitat for Humanity of Omaha Women Build in the Bluestem Prairie neighborhood, with nearly 40 volunteers helping build homes for local families.

Habitat Omaha has offered Women Build’s since 1997 as a hands-on way for women to serve their community.
