Exceptional GCSE Results at Hurst 🎉

🎓 85% of all grades achieved at Level 9-7
⭐ 677 Grade 9s
👏 Almost two thirds of all grades awarded at Grade 8 and 9
📝 85.9% of English Language grades at Level 9-7
➗ 88.1% of Maths grades at Level 9-7

Dominic Mott, Head of College, said: “I was quietly confident that this year group would break the 80% Level 9-7 barrier and improve on the excellent results of previous years, but these scores are even better than I had dared to hope. I couldn’t be prouder of the students, and of the staff who helped support them along the journey.”

As pupils look ahead to the Sixth Form and beyond, these incredible results provide a strong foundation for future success. taken in Hurstpierpoint College by @hurst_college

Today, 18 Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth A-level Further Maths students, joined by one Upper Sixth Maths student, took part in the @ukmathstrust Senior Mathematical Challenge.

The annual 90-minute challenge, run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust, saw our students answer 25 multiple-choice questions alongside thousands of others across the UK. They tackled content beyond the usual A-level problem-solving curriculum and faced a new format for the final three questions.

Several students prepared by working through past papers in their own time. The challenge gave them an opportunity to take on some extra challenging maths, an experience that will help prepare them for the study ahead. taken in Hurstpierpoint College by @hurst_college
