When we travel at Husna, we make room for something bigger than ourselves: giving back to our brothers and sisters who need our support.

Through our ongoing giveback initiative in partnership with Human Concern International @hcicanada, we’re reminded that our blessings are also opportunities to bring relief, hope, and comfort to others.

Alhamdulillah, with the support and sponsorship of our amazing guests; here are some of the ways we’ve been able to give back:

🩵 Sponsoring food for over 4,000 orphans for an entire year this year. That’s thousands of children whose meals they’ve helped provide.

🩵 Supporting orphans with essential hygiene supplies, including truckloads of hygiene boxes.

🩵 Supporting safe pregnancies and C-sections for mothers in Gaza, helping mothers and their babies receive the care they need. We’ve also provided hygiene packages for each mother.

And this is what makes our trips so meaningful. It’s not just about the destinations we visit or the memories we create. It’s about what we can do with the blessings Allah has given us and the difference we can make when we choose to give.

In the heart of Jakarta stands a mosque that represents far more than a place of worship. Istiqlal Mosque, whose name means “independence” in Arabic, was built to commemorate Indonesia’s independence and celebrate the faith of the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation.

Its story began in 1951, when the idea of building a grand national mosque took shape. Construction started in 1961, and the mosque was officially inaugurated in 1978. And perhaps one of its most meaningful details is its location, directly across from Jakarta Cathedral.

The two landmarks stand as a reminder of Indonesia’s long-standing aspiration for peaceful coexistence between people of different faiths. Designed by Christian architect Friedrich Silaban, Istiqlal stands as a powerful symbol of Indonesia’s national identity, religious devotion, and unity in diversity.

Very few mosques hold a place in the hearts of Muslims quite like Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah. Beyond its breathtaking architecture, beautiful green dome and towering minarets.

Built by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ after his migration to Madinah, he ﷺ told us that a prayer in his mosque is better than a thousand prayers in any other mosque, except Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah. Just imagine the reward of standing in salah in a place so deeply connected to the life and legacy of our beloved Prophet ﷺ. 🤍

But there’s something about Madinah that goes beyond the numbers. There’s a sense of peace that many visitors struggle to put into words. From the sight of worshippers making their way to the mosque for salah to the beautiful rows of people standing shoulder to shoulder in prayer, every moment is a reminder of the unity of our Ummah and our shared love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.

And if you’re blessed with the opportunity to visit, take your time. Pray, make du’a, send salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ and reflect on the incredible history of the place you’re standing in. May Allah invite us all to His sacred mosques and grant us the opportunity to pray in Masjid an-Nabawi. Ameen. 🤲🏽
