Finally I repaired the monitor speaker and its driver circuit of my Revox C270 No. 2. A capacitor in the driver circuit had shorted, accompanied with a transistor melting and a second go dead. Also the coil of the tiny speaker measured shorted. After replacing the defective parts and installing the new speaker, which required disassembly of the keyboard assembly, replacing the speaker and reassembly of the unit (what a PITA!) it works! I am happy! by @hvtichy

Repair/overhaul of a Revox B215 cassette tape recorder which had been mothballed for more than two decades. New LED illumination, replacement of defective capacitors, replacement of the output relay. Maintenance of the leaf switches and the mechanism. by @hvtichy

I have a new measuring device, which is used to measure distortion, e.g. caused by a recording made on magnetic tape. I aquired it as defective, but fortunately it only needed some TLC. An input signal did not cross the mode switches. So I removed the switch array from the main board and disassembled and cleaned two of the switches which showed high resistance between contacts. Now the unit is working and I am happy! by @hvtichy

Taking pictures of objects at the beach, session four 😂 This time, I went there in the afternoon to have the sunlight perpendicular to the shoreline. Still not as impressive a sight as I thought it could be... by @hvtichy

Yesterday morning I went to the central pond of the high moor at Kaltenhofen, (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) to watch the dragonflies and take pictures.
The flight manoeuvres of them are always simply stunning. See them come instantly to a stop in mid-air out of full speed, hovering shortly and then speeding off again is fascinating.

The dragonfly on the picture is a "Four-spotted Chaser" - Libellula quadrimaculata, which I haven't seen for decades.
The four spots of the name are the ones on the wings. taken in Kaltenhofer Moor by @hvtichy
