I ate the Hong Kong French Toast at @hoko.london , super delicious! (swipe to see alternate versions of the drawing)

It was the yummiest comfort food, not too sweet and loaded with crunchy peanut butter inside. The moment I finished it, I wanted to order a second one. You can also add as much syrup on top as you want :)

I got to try some of my friend’s Char Siu Rice with Fried Egg as well, and it was delicious too. They had so many more HK-style dishes and drinks, I wanted to try them all! Overall the service was fast, the atmosphere was casual and friendly, and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Definitely a must-go if you’re looking for Hong Kong cafe comfort food in London.

Ube Toast from @panaderabakery_ in Soho!
I went with a friend and tried their Ube Toast Sando and Garlic Pandesal. Both were absolutely delicious! I loved the crispiness of the Ube Toast, which was golden brown and had a decadent filling of sweet ube jam and butter. The Garlic Pandesal was deliciously cheesy and soft as well. I absolutely recommend checking out Panadera if you’re near Soho and in the mood for Filipino-inspired bakes! The open, sunlit seating area is an amazing vibe, and there’s a large table great for studying (no wifi though). They also have a Marylebone location.

Honey ricotta french toast!! Swipe for ref + step-by-step process. Soo indulgent and fluffy, topped with fresh mint ricotta, sliced strawberries and blueberries, crushed pistachios, and drizzled with honey. I ate this at a cafe with my family over a year ago and i still think about it sometimes 🍓🫐🍯

I’m very sleep deprived these days because of the heat in London… I stay awake until 2am because that’s when my flat cools down enough to sleep. But since the window is open all night (it’s too hot otherwise), the sound of cars wakes up at around 6am each day… so super sleepy all the time 😵‍💫

On another note, it makes me so happy that many new people followed. If you followed me or liked my posts, thank you!! 💝 I was so hesitant and honestly afraid to start this account and post my art, so I’m really surprised and happy from the support!!! Soo grateful and excited to share my art with you all 🥹🥰❤️

I hope you enjoy this food illustration of french toast. It’s one of my favorite foods, and I’m happy with how it turned out :) The pistachios slayed me but I’m just glad that’s over hahaha

Starry Croissant (swipe for process!)

I love rendering small details to be stars, I think it makes the food look magical ✨ Saw these strawberry-and-cream-filled croissants while walking through central London, don’t they look super good?? I didn’t eat them… city prices are too high but thankfully everything is free to draw hahaha.

Faced a lot of self-doubts during the process of drawing this (the ugly phase lasted soooo long guys 😭), but made it through!! Very happy with the final result, hope you like it too :)

Lemon bar! 🍋
I was so indecisive about the colors for this, I think I spent a good portion of an hour fiddling around with hues T_T Let me know which version looks best to you (or vote below).

Colors aside, I’m really happy with how the rendering came out. I tried to add sharper shapes here, like mini stars and moons 🌙🌟 What do you think?

Lemon bars were a treat I used to look forward to once a week. Since my brother didn’t like them, it meant I could eat the whole lemon bar by myself! I think that’s why it was one of my childhood favorites, haha. If you swipe to the end, you can see a lemon bar I baked last year with my friend :) it was tasty and very zesty!

Peanut Cilantro Basque Cheesecake that I saw in Taipei. Would you eat it? 👀

I really wanted to eat this cake, but ran out of time during my trip (there were too many other yummy things to eat 😭） it’s really interesting to me that peanut and cilantro is such a common flavor combo in Taiwan. I did have a peanut cilantro ice cream and it was really good :D What do you think, would you eat this cake?

(Also, does cilantro taste like soap to you? Recently I realized that it does taste 🧼 to me, but I honestly don’t mind it hahaha). by @hwalumi

Drawn for this week’s #liquidpaintchallenge2026 hosted by @veryberrydraws and @elloii_i

I was initially attracted to draw this because of the macarons, but the coffee was soo fun to draw! Normally I don’t do well with liquids, so it was a happy surprise that things flowed smoothly this time (get it, flowed? Haha… i’m not funny). I’ve been wanting to practice drawing flowers so I added some on top… I think they look rather elegant floating amid the dark swirls of coffee, what do you think? 🤔

This #liquidpaintchallenge was really fun, thank you to the hosts for the beautiful reference photo and for organizing this challenge!!
