LOTTE WORLD TOWER 10th Anniversary Exhibition: THE VERTICAL ASCENT In this project, the tower is reimagined as a precise assembly of geometric shapes. Each block serves as a data unit symbolizing the density and the past decade of the city. The vertical, irregular geometric forms ascending toward the sky represent the urban energy spreading and rising upward. Through the contrast between the rigid, calculated geometry of the tower and the dynamic, fragmented particles, I aimed to capture the towerβ€˜s perpetual evolution and visionary future. (This project is a conceptual poster design created for portfolio purposes.) by @hwi.std
HWI is a personal visual identity that reinterprets my name as a shared visual language across Korean and English. A consistent grammar of vertical strokes, curves, and angled cuts extends across the primary symbol, English wordmark, Korean logotype, and hybrid signature. Rather than simply translating between two writing systems, the identity connects them through a unified rhythm and form. #brandidentity #visualdesign #artdirection #koreandesigner by @hwi.std

Its two signature colors originate from the landscape of kite flying: deep brown represents GROUND, while vivid blue represents SKY. Together, they capture the movement of a kite rising from the ground into the open sky. This color system extends beyond the packaging into a range of outdoor essentials, reframing traditional kite flying as a contemporary outdoor experience. by @hwi.std

Built around the simple act of flying a kite, each application shares the same color and graphic language, forming a cohesive visual world. Rather than simply recreating a tradition, YEONNAL reimagines kite flying as a contemporary outdoor culture β€” a reason to go outside, spend time together, and look up. by @hwi.std

Inspired by the structural framework of a kite, the symbol evolves into a flexible identity system through a series of wordmarks and logo variations, designed to remain recognizable across different applications. Rather than simply reproducing tradition, YEONNAL explores how a familiar cultural experience can be translated into a new visual language. by @hwi.std
